Lyrics:
Wood burnin' up on the hill
Cedar drawer full of pills, and it's quiet
Like snow through the tree
And I did what I did
and I didn't mean anything
Where you come from and where you go
who you talk to and who you know
When you're lying in fields of green
Well I did what I did
And I didn't mean anything
(chorus)
The sunrise, dry eyes, red morning
Smoke stacks, old hats, I'm still learning
I don't know how I got this far down
Where's the ceiling?
Her eyes are wide open right out of her head. Cause she's cleared of a
crime that she could not commit
Well I did what I did
And I'd do it all over again
I remember everything, little girl learning to sing cause she's crying
all over me
Well I did what I did, and I didn't mean anything
(chorus)
Her eyes are wide open right out of her head, cause she's cleared of a
crime that she could not commit
Well I did what I did
And I'd do it all over again
We should be easy - เพลง
They were the warm band for the Bob Dylan concert that I went to. They were absolutely amazing. Best warm act I have ever seen. The audience arose and gave them a standing ovation for 5 minutes.
Gosh man, I've been just waiting for like 30 years for southern country rock to come back round. Thank You gentlemen.
They are good , I was also impressed when they opened up for my favorites. BLACKBERRY SMOKE!!!
Thank god for good music
hallelujah ... a band that plays and sings.. solid
Hard to believe only half a million views in the past 3 years... Definitely deserves more. Rad music guys
So right. They do deserve more. They put it all out there. 😜
When I heard this song on the radio for the very first time on the radio when I was on my way out the door to work, I stopped dead in my tracks and ran over to the radio and cranked it up and started hootin' and hollerin' singing along to the song. What musicianship, what songwriting, what creativity! .
The best band I´ve Heard since Eagles.
Bought their CD on Amazon today!
They are based in Nashville but
A Nashville band, with roots in Texas and Oklahoma, The Wild Feathers like to explore the harmonic landscape of Southern rock to personify a very simple idea that has been on a sharp decline since the ’70s: an American band.
Absolutely love them!❤️💯💯
I knew they had that sound of other groups I love from the 70's.

I'm an old guy growing up with Allman Bros, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Eagles. I just discovered Wild Feathers and they just blew me away.
Their vocals reminds of The Eagles. Gr8 Southern Rock...Thanks
A good old kick ass band with excellent vocals.
Saw them a few years ago at Coachella, I stood there wondering why are they on the small stage?!?! Wild Feathers was the best band I saw that weekend. I can’t wait to see them again.
Combination of lead singers from several bands = great voices/band!
Holy Cow. The Kings of Leon had a head on collision with The Decemberists! Holy Cow. But it works....I think I will stay and rubberneck for a while....
If there was more music like this in the world it would be a nicer place to live. Well done, lads, well done indeed.
Love their sound
Amazing. Everything that is good about real music is evident in this song. This has to be the best debut release by a new band in decades. Country bands that think their music has elements of rock in it can learn a few things from this group. They are going to shake things up, and it's about time.
Just saw them at the 'Boots In The Park' event in Fresno. I don't really listen to country music...but, these guys sounded great!!!
Reminds me of some of my favorite old bands that could really sing and really play--Poco, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, early Eagles. Please consider this a great compliment from my era!
caught the Las Vegas show opening for Willie Nelson......crowd loved these guys and bought out all of the merchandise they had at their table next to Willie's........they have 10 more shows with Willie....then to the stratosphere......jb
Saw them last night in CO. New to me and instantly fell for em.
This band is superb! My guilty pleasure every day ❤️
Exquisite new live album just released.
Something special about this song, touches a place deep in me. 6am in the morning on a brisk fall day, on a lonely Tuesday heading to a dead end job, ready to make a left instead of a right and break out of my routine life.. How did I get stuck here. This song takes me away. I'm braver in this alternate world. And I flip off the world as I drive into the sunset. Heading West to get lost on purpose.
Brilliant song and band too !!!!
Oh yeah the wild feathers..yes yes
You guys rock. Keep up the good work. Real music needs you.
I hear this song on the radio all the time.
Their sound - great blend of Wallflowers and the Band. Awesome and completely unique!
2016 ...this is one of the songs I rocked my baby girl to sleep to. I had just started a new job and spent a month away from home training. My wife would call and say she's upset ... and I would say did you play the three.... this one of three... easy we should be easy.... Love should be easy ...like loving a baby ...just hold and care ... thats all easy!
Heard this the first time and bought it a few minutes later. Listened to the entire album a few times too.
They have the best videos on here. Surprised no one mentions that.
Just caught these guys on Guitar Center Sessions live I'm Austin TX. What an awesome band
Heard this song on the radio today and just had to find it.
Just a GREAT band!
I just saw these guys perform on Conan and I loved the energy of the song and performance! Great job, fellas!
Thank God music is still alive ! Love this !
New favorite band! Amazing talent. Now they need to come to South Dakota!
Saw these guys live last weekend wen they opened for Sheryl Crow! Incredible! Great musicians!
Saw these boys in Vancouver last night. They blew the doors off of that crappy little club! Awesome talent, tons of energy. See this band!
I go back and watch this video and "The Ceiling" tune every month or so. I just sticks in my mind and I have to go back and get my fix. I love bands that play their instruments, sing well, and harmonize. This band does just that. I have their CD and have worn it out. I wish they would come to Florida.
This song (and video) is pure quality.
Their music makes me feel all warm
Saw these guys last night opening for Ryan Bingham. Great show!
Heard them on the radio. Not bad!
Hey, wait a minute! I live just outside of Austin, Tx in the Hill Country, and I have not heard of these guy's!! These dudes are great!! Guess I gotta get out more often..
New favorite band!
Never heard of them until I won 2 tix tonight to see them in StL later this month. Think I'm gonna love seeing them perform live!!
Probably one of the best choruses of 2013.
I saw them open up for Ryan Bingham too. Amazing!
I want to listen much more songs of this group!
I didn't not like country music. This is F*CKIN' AWESOME! Since I first heard it in 2013; this whole album, this band, and most definitely this song have been CRIMINALLY underrated.💯
What's burning on the hill? The Wild Feathers - the next great American band.
Fantastic musicians make great music ........... THANK YOU !!!

So much talent for 1 band, we love you guys, plz, stay awhile!
I can not wait for live on the green next week! Cant wait to see yall again after bonnaroo! One of my favorite bands now!
Been listening to this great band a while now keep rocking dude.
Saw these guys open for Paul Simon. They were awesome! I got to meet them after the show. I asked the guy with the hat, "have any advice for a musician in college". He said, "drop out of school and keep playing." Lol Well i didnt drop out of school but these guys are awesome!
this band rocks, need to check out their other tunes !! killer song!!
Joel's bass playing reminds me of how Rick Danko played. It's just that folksy, bluesy sound that both guys are able to create.
Rural opiod addiction, raw and mean but oh so pretty. Love the way the dOOd with the scraggly beard and Frye boots sings.
Loving this song!!!
I love this song and video.
finally a super good song that is really long too!!!
I just pre-ordered the album! Can't wait.
love the 4 guitars; refreshing sound with a great blend of lyrics. keep it coming!
BIG song. Great. Will share....
nice band know it since at the beginng love it
What a great melody and lyrics/Rick young hits the mark
Just seen these guys on the Spirit of the South Tour w/ Blackberry Smoke and the Allman Betts Band. They killed it! Got a new fan and can't wait to see you at Off Broadway!! Up on Cripple Creek with BBS was awesome!
I saw the Cincinnati show . BBS are my favorite. I've been to about 10 shows now. Allman Betts was killer as well. The Wild Feathers fit right in and sounded amazing.
Saw them last night as the opener for willie nelson, literally redeemed my hope in modern country music
Hitting the road opening for ZZ Ward this summer. Good show.
Met these guys after a Needtobreathe concert and they were awesome!
So much talent in one band, love it!! You guys sound fantastic!!
It was a nine year stint that the Beatles put together to make monumental music. If these guy can stick together for nine years, the music they will produce will be amazing.
Where at? I met them at Legends in Boone, NC! They opened for Delta Rae and I was blown away. Their debut album is slated for June but i could really use it right now!
Can already tell that this will be a band people will claim to have loved "before they made it". Refreshing sound... Real music is slowly making it's way back.
real music!!!
Amazing video. Can't wait for the album!

Flawless at Forecastle!
You guys sound amazing and Congrats Taylor!! You got the Mitchell Family's support all the way!! Need to add a Dallas show to the summer tour!!
You guys ROCK!!
they remind me of the early days of Marshal Tucker Band
Very nice. Always refreshing to see and hear a promising new band. I sense a WHOLE lot of Whiskeytown / Ryan Adams in this.
