milwaukeerican5 yeah xD kana hanazawa straight out called him a hentai in the inuxboku event (he asked if she needed a chair, he could be one for her + they accidentally collided into each other when he caught a whiff of her nice perfume or body scent and complimented her, making her very embarrassed about it)
杉田の冷静な「信じない」が面白すぎた
Tomokazu Sugita really *is* absolutely perceptive. He listens a lot and remembers the smallest things. I like how Suzumura Kenichi complimented him instead of saying "woah, it's kinda creepy that you know that" like I've heard other seiyuus say.
Yeah! I mean, I know they're probably just trying to make it funny but it's also kinda hurtful for the person who didn't really mean anything bad. I remember the live event for inu x boku they made fun for how sugita knows stuff about his partner but in reality those are just basic stuff like birthday, hometown and bloodtypes. Stuff that could be talked about especially since they are working together. Honestly annoying but I'm just happy that there are some that appreciate him for who he is.

@@cthpng9437 don't worry, I know it is. He is a professional after all so he won't take it too seriously but at the end of the day he may feel hurt at some comments. It doesn't matter though, because many love him and appreciate him.
@@nikosaronim I remember him sharing a story how he went to perform for his friend's wedding but the bride side is all sporty and beauty, while the bridesgroom side is all otaku. So when they introduced Sugita-san as seiyuu, bride's family was quiet, and after hearing the name of the anime Gintama, they were all disgusted. LOL..
@@nikosaronim if I remember correctly, blood type personality concept is VERY popular in Japan and that's how they base their romantic relationships on most of the time. Still it's a weird thing to make fun of. I do get the kind of shy, asocial vibe from him which makes him way more cooler than anyone.

It's really not a surprise that Nakai-san's role as Hijikata was offered to him, and not through audition. I can't picture other seiyuu voices Hijikata or Zoro. It's like he's born to voice them.
There's something funny i've got from the internet, so i don't know if it true though. Despite that some of his most famous character in anime that he voiced is a swordsman, E.g. Hijikata, Zoro, & Masamune Date. it said that he's actually Belonephobic (a phobia to sharp object). it said that he felt very uncomfortable even when he's holding a knife.
I wish there was a video about their recording process. It must be fun to watch them working behind the scene.
