I've just been listening to your videos as background music for yoga, but today, I tried meditating and actually doing the chant. I AM AMAZED. I've always struggled to sit in meditation but chanting gives me something to focus on. My body is buzzing with energy right now, and I only did 10 minutes! I just spent the last 2 nights discovering/Studying vedic aastrology and my birthchart. It's hard to get around every single planet shifting and having been (in my western, tropical system) Gemini Asc, Venus in Gemini (Mithuna), Moon in Scorpio (Chandra in Vrischika) and Sun in Cancer (Surya in Karka) in my Western Birthchart. According to my Vedic Birth Chart I have the moon (Chandra) in Tula (Libra) The Sun (Surya) in Mithuna (Gemini) and my Ascendant is Vrishaba (Taurus). For the past 20 years Ive studied my Western tropical chart in considerable depth and all of it resonates so closely with how I perceive myself to be. I mean if ever there was a Gemini Asc, in terms of how I outwardly appear both physically and personality it is me. If ever there was a person who had Venus in Gem in the 12th house, that's definately me. Can you say fickle, unrequited and sexually turned on through the mental faculties? Moon in Scorpio? Psychic, obsessive, jealous, ok also me; absolutely. One hell of a piece of ass in bed? Not to brag but Peter North...Child Please...I make him look like a ginger on his Prom Night. Cancer, Saturn and Mercury in Cancer all in the 2nd house...My Pen Name/Artistic alter ego is named after the protagonist in Marcel Proust's A la recherche du temps perdu "Charlus". Don't have to say anymore on that I don't think. Now I read up, study up hard on Vedic Astrology, and this woman makes a hell of an argument as to why I should throw all that out the window mainly because the calculations are simply incorrect. "Tropical astrology - unfortunately - uses the erroneous "Ptolemaic" calculations for positioning the planets. This is a historical accident and it is no one's fault". She says, and goes on further explaining: "...over the period of his observations (less than 60 years) the zero point of Aries did not seem to move.... ...Having few other texts to consult, the struggling European astrological scholars came to believe that the zero point of Aries *never* shifts! I have survived 5 years of Ketu Dasha and getting into 6th year. I am revisiting this mantra at the right time.
