Julie I love every one of these coasters. They mimic nature because every flower on the same plant is slightly different. I really like the blue lines and the purplely pink lines too. I understand why you had to hurry if only they could come up with a casting resin that cured a little bit faster.
I LOVE the streaks of blue going through them, Julie! These are really cool. I like to see the white petals, too. Glad you didn't lose your green. 😊 I know I was sooo slow when I was first learning how to use inks and dye colorants, that just a few minutes' work time would have spelt disaster for me! Yes, it would be very nice to take home the same day, but...yeah. Real balancing act!
Maybe you should look back at the first few videos you did using the art class resin to see how you did when you were new to it. That might help you decide whether to use it for your class.
These are really pretty Julie. The colours are so lovely. What would they look like if you did a much bigger swirl? The centres always look so realistic. 👏🏻🌺🌴
My thoughts. ¹ If you use the same resin as in this tutorial even one question could be problematic. In just about any type live classes there tends to be questions and/or the need to repeat things. The tighter working time could cause students to feel rushed, particularly those newer to working with resin. ² On the other hand I would appreciate being able to take my piece with me on the same day so maybe offer a Q&A session before actually starting to work with your resin, with the understanding we can do another Q&A after we complete the project and the resin is curing. ³ This idea makes the most sense to me. Students can prearrange the purchase of your mold of their choice on-site. They would need to bring a box or container that is stable and would secure the mold they purchased. They could carefully place the resin filled mold in their car and take it home with them. Everyone would not be able to share the demolding with the group live but maybe you could arrange a Zoom or private TH-cam session so it could be shared virtually. Sorry, I added even more choices.
I have been putting the streaks in as well and I live them! Very pretty! I'm not far enough along in my resin pours to use this type of resin, but someday....
theyre beautiful!!!! wow!!!!!! I love them!!! I am a beginner and i was stressed watching you hurry along w this so it might be a little hard on a beginner tbh. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Your smile, laugh and spirit is infectious!!! These are SOOO GORGEOUS! I like that pink in there! :) Pour Big & Love Hard!💫💖
I have just tried the art class as a top coat on a geode artwork and was really disappointed for no real reason it left divets and also on a tray, I've not had that problem with other resin I use I haven't tried it to make coasters yet. Also I find if I put a sheet of baking paper down on my table or bench it prevents any dust or dirt getting on my pieces from the table food for thought, love your work
I am a beginner. What resin would you suggest for a beginner, inspired by your bloom coasters, to use? Congrats on the new babies. Thanks for your videos and all the inspiration! U.S.A location here.
Hi Julie. I'm so excited to try this resin but it's always sold out. I'll just keep checking the website. Also can you give me info about your class to make 3d flowers? Is it for members only? I just get so excited when I see a new video.
Art by me ,love them .I think I will have to go into resin my paint is not cooperating it separating from the canvas I did a swipe it separate I then did a Aussie blow out same thing .I scraped the canvas from yesterday it did work that was done with clear glue all and paint with water and todays was with floetrol and mod podge which works for me but not today . The video should be up today Art by me .
It's not too fast. I like that you wander off camera so I don't miss the pouring details while my eyes are distracted feeding birds or something.
