    We've just seen the two largest hotels in San Francisco tactically default on their mortgages. There are at least another 30 more who could do the same thing.
    Rising rates, reduced occupancy and $1.7tn of CRE maturing in the next 3 years. Is this what will crush the US economy, or have banks maintained their discipline and lending standards in recent years meaning it will be a storm in a teacup?
