Perfect and typical Brimley interview. Pure midwestern type. Laconic, doesn’t mess around with words and answers a question directly. I wish most people were like that.
When living in Wyoming I had the pleasure of meeting Wilford…At the time he lived in Greybull Wyoming…10 minutes from where I lived…He was a perfect gentleman….
R.I.P. WIlford Brimley. He was a truly wonderful man and I appreciate the fact that even though ***this*** particular interaction did not go as smoothly as you wish you were still respectful. "I like to work" THAT right there is a journeyman actor and a Texan. Peaceful Skies.
Though the “diabeetus” thing has become a meme, I remember hearing all the older folks in my life when I was a kid pronounce it that way. I wonder if it used to be pronounced that way but evolved over time to what we more commonly hear now? Much like people would commonly say “Los Angle eez” instead of the more common “Los Angeles” that we hear now.
@@Jondsmusic Yea I knew he already died, he's not far from it in this vid. He probably wouldn't care if he saw this, he was already a jaded old man 50 years ago.😂
@@DG-sf9ei I don’t know. Some actors or artists get touchy about being mocked too much. Wholesome footage was taken and bastardized. While funny to us, me was pretty conservative and may not have found it so comical.
Seeing the interviewer almost squirming at the awkardness is just hillarious. He was feeling awkward, on the other hand, MR Brimley was just being himself,RIP.
not the best interview, but he wasn't like Jerry Lewis when Jerry was really mean to the guy interviewing him. Probably would have been good to ask him something like 'could you tell us what it was like acting on seinfeld, any recollections of the experience or other actors?'. That would call for a more 'drawn out' answer. But if he just answered with one or two words, then I guess that's as good as it gets. He's dead now, but just something to keep in mind if interviewing more elderly actors, particularly if they are old and have diabeetus.
I always loved the 68 Plymouth VIP sedan he drove in the Our House series from 86-88 .. he played Gus Witherspoon in the series .. one of my favorite shows then and now
I can guarantee that I will not be interviewing him again. But I don't think I was disrespectful at all and he did agree to the interview. So there's that.
Shut up you offended little square. Wilfurd was a miserable person and his old age only amplified it. At least we can laugh at it, he wasn't good for much else.
“My favorite---I don’t eat candy. I got diabeetus” LOL🤣🤣🤣
Out the gate lmaooooo he knows why tf we are here

Good description!
He looks so pissed to be there.
lol, summarizes it.
He looks like he’s ready to leave and go eat some Quaker Oats oatmeal.
I'll bet anything that they asked him what his favorite candy bar was for the sole purpose of hearing him say "I've got diabeetus".
Actually, it's a standard question I used at the time, and I forgot about the diabetes.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is so funny!!
@@FandomSpotlite😂 some have diabetes, WB had diabeetuhs
Inside every silver lining there is a dark Wilford Brimley.
This feels like it should have been a Family Guy cutaway gag but it’s actually a real interview - R.I.P Wilford Brimley 😂😂😂
Brimley is like so over this ffs lol rip
Blair aint having it with this interviewer 😂
Mr Brimley did not make me feel uncomfortable but you did. You did not have a list of good questions.
I agree. Captain of what ship? The SS jackass?
I agree

He certainly wasn't rude in this interview. Just wasn't very engaged. Some people do not interview well. But he was a gentleman, regardless.
R.I.P. WIlford Brimley.

"I like to work" THAT right there is a journeyman actor and a Texan.
Peaceful Skies.
The only thing awkward is the guy with the microphone.
I swear this never stops being hilarious
I agree, he makes it hell for this nerd interviewer!
lol Wilford Brimley was the toughest interview
It's not awkward at all. He's just being real. Not ON, like most folks.
Wilford being just Wilford. He's legend! :)
R.i.p Wilford. He was a tough interview, even Ferguson had a hard time but he did warm up eventually. He had a sense of humor, it was just dry lol.
He was a real emotional roller-coaster...loved you Wilford 😂 he really is like a older tabby cat 😂

that's interesting
that's interesting
Wlford didn't mess around. As real as a person can get.
Call Liberty Medical
This interview shows that Wilford was a good sport about the diabetes jokes. The parodies of his liberty medical ads.
Yeah, he really was speaking like he just wanted to get it over with…
Wow how charismatic of Wilford! You won’t get much out of him! He’d be tough on IRS agents as well.
Lmao, he was nearly dead already in 2017.....still saying DIABEETUS 😂😂😂
@@DG-sf9ei Actually he died last year in 2020. Wonder what he would have thought if he saw this.

No bs kinda guy 👍🏻
One word answers lol
Hilarious!! LOVE IT!! Keep up the good work guys!!
Next time somebody asks my opinion on something, I'm just gonna say "Thumbs up"

I was feeling awkward, as a matter of fact.
Diabeetus 😂😂😂❤❤❤
the wink at 2:39 is epic
He did have diabeetus, but he's all better now and he'd like to come back inside.
RIP wilford brimley 😭
This was hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😭😭😭😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Most of, if not all the awkwardness here is because the interviewer is absolutely terrible.
Thanks. I think you would probably suck, too.

Wilford don't take no shit 😂
wilford seemed annoyed with the interviewer. lol
He probably was.
Oh man, just found out Wilford Brimley died last year. RIP
I would like to talk about diabetes
He lived the life of his character, pissed off and falling short
Best interview ever!
He just an old man with more grit in his pinky than you have in your whole body. LEAVE HIM BE!!!!

cockfighting isn't cool though. You got the wrong kind of grit if your supporting that.
@@macthompson9750 says this guy as he's eating a mcchicken
Hahahah what a legend 😂
Why was he even there. Just a guess, not by his choice
Wilford has the please shoot me look in his face.
diabeetus
Youd be a better interviewer if you were interested in his answers
Hes still alive?
No, he passed away about a year ago.
Staged death. He cured his diabeetus, and will never die now. His plans are to take over the world by keeping the cure exclusively to himself.
Yes
I love him lol
Celery
RIP
Classic wilford
Oh wow 😂😂😂
He has a lot of personality
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thumbs up!!!
I didn't think that was awkward.
Diabeat us is better than diarear us
