A lot of European countries actually have bidet, it's just the US and some others that don't. In Italy a bidet (a normal one, not a fancy - I'm guessing Japanese? - one like the one Magni has) is considered a basic necessity in every house, they literally don't build houses without that.

I was curious as to how much does a bidet cost, so I went to the only 3-4 stores' webshop that have them here (without spending a shit ton of money to order online), and I don't think the bidets I usually see online (like the one on this thumbnail) are the ones stores here offer lol. Here stores offer, idk how to describe it, like the porcelain part of the toilet but it's lower? and has a small sink-like tap on one end. I assume you sit on it, facing away from the tap and wash. So it's like another toilet but only for washing your butt. And I fainted when I saw the prices. No wonder I only ever saw it once in my life at a rich family friends' You'd also had to have a big enough bathroom and proper plumbing (a rarity in these woods lmao). It's honestly one of the biggest culture shocks I've experienced after engaging into bidet related convos under vtuber clips comments lol Not only do they look nothing like the ones here, but I also heard some have extra parts? for washing if you're a woman (or have "lady parts" that is)

It's why I always carry an empty gatorade bottle when I travel, or even just when going to the office. Toilet paper on its own is never enough.
