That’s what I love about Garage Sales, you never know what you will find and for what price! My Mom went to a sale once and bought me a complete set of Pyrex primary color mixing bowls for $1.00! I was so happy they were in perfect shape too! Congrats on all your finds!

Towards the end of the video Mexican silver bracelet with the green stones it's a souvenir bracelet I had one sterling silver mine had little Aztec men on it I scrapped mine

Wow great find on the jewellery!!The blue earrings with the Sherman necklace however are not Sherman. The backing is not correct for Sherman earrings. They are a very pretty married set!

First time watching you guys. I was a little distracted at first.....checking out your great ink!! Lol. I loved the jewelry....I live for all the colorful pins. When I find ones that have all their stones.....I feel like I won the jackpot!. I've been buying and selling for 40 years, but have stopped due to health issues. Still, I can't stop garage saleing. I have to stop at EVERY sale.....because you never know what you'll find (which is really the best part). I have a weakness for suitcases, they are just so versatile, I scoop them up whenever I see them. Remember, you only regret what you DIDN'T buy. The only thing about garage sales I have a problem with is when they say "make me an offer". I usually say in a joking way "52 cents". It breaks the ice. Whether I am buying or selling, I always ask what they're thinking. Reason why is, so you don't offer them too much, or give them a bigger discount (if it's your sale). If I'm selling, I might mark an item $7. I let them talk me down to $5......which is what I wanted for the item in the first place. They think they're master negotiators, and I get what I wanted for it. It's a win/win for everyone.

I once had a garage sale where this couple stopped by.
One would distract with questions while the other would be stealing items!
When we notice what was going on, we announced that unfortunately something urgent had come up and we needed to shut down the sale.
I have heard of people who will ask to use your restroom and then browse your home picking up items like it is Walmart!
Never allow shoppers to go in your home for any reason.
Garage and yard only. Never be alone while facilitating a sale.

Important question. What camera/phone/app do you use for your close-up shots when you are looking for gold/silver content and a maker’s mark. It must have a good camera. And if you use an app along with the phone’s camera, what is it? I want to get one like you have.
Hi Mary. I use an IPhone (XR model - several years old now) for the photos.
As a child people gave boxes of nicely embroidered handkerchiefs. Now we have the handy but ugly kleenex.

As far as I know they just end up in Karen's collection for display. She has not had an opportunity to place any of the missing stones, although I would say she probably would try if she had loose stones to fit....

@22:08 How do you determine if unsigned Sherman is actually Sherman.
So determining what unsigned jewelry is Sherman and what isn't, is simply based on knowledge of his designs, stones used, techniques etc. There is on trick. You just have to know how Sherman pieces look, and someone with a good amount of knowledge can usually be fairly accurate when trying to determine if an unsigned piece is Sherman or not.
