Wow! This is an excellent teaching on Daniel! I am so happy to have gotten in at the beginning of your study on this book. I read through the Bible every year using a chronological reading plan, so currently I’m reading in 2 Samuel/1 Chronicles/and Psalms, I’m so glad to be studying Daniel with y’all now, so I can devote more time to delve into it and study (before I read through it in September). I’ll keep you in my prayers as you study and teach through Daniel! Thank you, Bro. Matthew!
Did this church open in 2020? I can't recall. All I know is most of us had rags on our faces and were cowarding at home. We missed the greatest opportunity to put this into practice that most of us had had in our lifetime. That still needs to be addressed. Everyone is pretending it never happened. I can't do that. I can't hear sermons about courage and faith and look back just a few years and think... where was all of that courage and standing up and resolve, then?

Welcome to a fallen earth. Don’t ruin your life over an event. It’s not a gospel matter. Wisdom was also required, and if your church DIDN’T take any action but proceeded with business as usual, I’d question the wisdom of your elders and perhaps the intent of their hearts. Spend some time reading church history: far worse has taken place among believers. And there’s always been the crowd which is unwilling to forgive (an interesting dichotomy to the gospel). Maybe it’s time to “move on” like you’ve acknowledged and apply another verse we heard in this sermon: renew your mind. Put down your pride and set your mind on Christ.

How would you respond to Christian scholars and other non christian scholars who claim the Gospels are anonymous accounts and that Paul only wrote half the letters?
You don't respond. You have THEM provide their evidence for the claim they are making. The side first making a claim has the responsibility to prove it. It's not up to the other side to disprove something that wasn't first proven or even attempted to be proven.

@@Yesica1993 I watch most of Pastor Matthew's videos, I showed how he mentioned inerrancy in the video and hence why I asked the question if you can't accept that reason it has nothing to do with me. Good day.
Rick Warren wrote a book, The Daniel Plan, with 2 celebrity doctors. Warren’s theology belongs in Babylon.
It became a total fad for a time. There were books everywhere! It was so bizarre. I'd read the passages and think... but that's just what they did and what they had in that situation. This is not a blueprint for all Christians to follow in order to gain some sort of prosperity. Nowhere does it even say that the diet is what did this for Daniel & his friends. How do people get this idea just from reading Daniel? Their diet is quickly mentioned and that's the end of it. It sure isn't the point of the book! But there were sure a lot of other books sold to promote that idea. It's disgusting. And even more disgusting that biblically ignorant Christians fall for such nonsense.
Yes! People (with bad theology) seem to turn ‘descriptive Bible history’ into prescriptive prosperity advice.
Do we have choice? If we are not chosen to be given faith/chosen for salvation, then I guess we are exempt from condemnation for not showing faith, but will be condemned/prepared as vessels for destruction & are to glorify God by our destruction??
But if you follow Calvinistic Absolute Determinism, then we really don't have choice even as believers. Some haven't been given POWERFUL George Muller, Hudson Taylor kind of faith?

At the 8 minute mark, you go into "Like Daniel, we have to resolve, resist & renew" (paraphrase).
If people are not Irresistibly Regenerated/experience Divine coercion & then infused with faith to believe & follow Christ how can they "Resolve, Resist & Renew"???
There are so many conundrums in Calvinistic theology?

@@mikelyons2831 Take your CDS (Calvinism Derangement Syndrome) elsewhere. This message was not addressing Calvinism in any way. If you'd watched the whole thing, you'd know that. Go play that game elsewhere. It's tiresome and detracts from the actual MESSAGE given here.
@@Yesica1993 I'm not permitted to comment in the comments? The message of Calvinism causes doubt & fatalism. It has caused many to go through deconstructionism of their beliefs in God.
God sent His Son to redeem everyone from the sting of death caused by sin (see Genesis 3:14-15, John 12:31 & 16:11, Hebrews 2:14, 1 John 3:8) not just the arbitrary special favored elect of Calvinism. Anyone CAN call upon Jesus for salvation.
