Well, you may be right in some regards. However, remember, the traditional religion then could not solve the problems of "abiku", poverty, intertribal war, etc, which education, science and technology have solved today. Even then, it was the survival of the fittest (i.e the more/most powerful person). Hence the people were always traveling far to get spiritual powers to suppress, purnish or even kill one another. I am a Christian and I know several situations that have been solved through the message of the word of God and prayer, except that like other practices, Christianity too have been corrupted by the love of money. Baba, if the "African religion/Juju/means/power" you talk of is as effective why has not those of you remaining in it been able to use it to tackle our present societal problems ? Why can't you curse the evil ones stealing our collective wealth, cheating, robbing , abducting, kidnapping, killing, maiming and destroying our innocent people in yoruba land ? To me the problem of humanity is selfishness and wickedness in the heart. The gospel is given to heal the heart of men of these vices. With that, love, righteousness, tolerance, peace, collective development etc will reign. Above all, religion is a freewill/personal choice. It is clearly evil for one to want to terririze or harm his fellow humans just for believing in different religion. We can live together peacefully and make progress despite our different religions if love, righteousness, tolerance and peace rule our hearts. Grace.

You are very right, couple of years ago the first time I saw the late Ooni Sijuwade at his meeting hall in the palace I developed serious cold and he was sitting far away.
I tried to look straight where his seated its as if I saw a cat with shining reflection of lights and stars.
Subsequent visits it became better and those symptoms were no longer there with time.

Well, you may be right in some regards. However, remember, the traditional religion then could not solve the problems of "abiku", poverty, intertribal war, etc, which education, science and technology have solved today. Even then, it was the survival of the fittest (i.e the more/most powerful person). Hence the people were always traveling far to get spiritual powers to suppress, purnish or even kill one another. I am a Christian and I know several situations that have been solved through the message of the word of God and prayer, except that like other practices, Christianity too have been corrupted by the love of money. Baba, if the "African religion/Juju/means/power" you talk of is as effective why has not those of you remaining in it been able to use it to tackle our present societal problems ? Why can't you curse the evil ones stealing our collective wealth, cheating, robbing , abducting, kidnapping, killing, maiming and destroying our innocent people in yoruba land ? To me the problem of humanity is selfishness and wickedness in the heart. The gospel is given to heal the heart of men of these vices. With that, love, righteousness, tolerance, peace, collective development etc will reign. Above all, religion is a freewill/personal choice. It is clearly evil for one to want to terririze or harm his fellow humans just for believing in different religion. We can live together peacefully and make progress despite our different religions if love, righteousness, tolerance and peace rule our hearts. Grace.
