His body was very unceremoniously treated ...and the family was forced to take his remains to his home state for burial..It was one of the saddest stories I have read about India's history.. And the congress leadership under Sonia Gandhi refused to build a memorial for him for 10 long years ..until Modiji came to power and built one for him..Very sad end to a brillliant pioneer in India's modernisation effort
