The area with many officers in alcoves is the most time consuming area in this map. Because of that entire area plus the backtracking to get to the gold is what makes this map to take more than 10 freaking minutes of your time
It's pretty much the same story with the entire episode, isn't it? It feels that they made the floors this way only to make the game seem longer and there's no real point behind it.
I've been thinking which way to go. On the other hand, I like watching videos with no commentary so I can concentrate on the game, especially when watching really atmospheric games. But sometimes voiceovers are really entertaining. I think I'll finish this run with no commentary, but maybe do a one-off with comments at some point to see which people prefer.
As for favorite episodes or maps, this episode is clearly my least favorite episode ever. The only 2 maps I like in this episode are the Secret map and the Boss map
I agree (although I haven't played the boss map yet). There are just too many mazes in this episode I don't like that you can't proceed unless you find a certain secret. It feels like a letdown after the previous episodes.
You can actually get the enemies to open up the locked door for you, and if you kill one while it's in the doorway it will stay open just like normal doors. It makes this level much less of a slog. People commonly call this the "door trick", and it can be used on a ton of floors. I'm hoping to make a video of all the ones in episode 6 soon. Thanks for the tip! I noticed that you can sometimes lure the enemies out from behind locked doors, but didn't realize you could get them to open this one too. Great video, btw! It just kinda made want to stop playing because I realized how crap I am at this. 😅
@@explodingfishplays Oh don't go that far! I've put insane amounts of hours into the game, and first played it in 1993. Besides, wasn't this game made legal in Germany only a few years ago?
@@DeafeningCha Ha! That's a relief. Although honestly I don't have the dedication to achieve such skill, especially when I have very limited time and too many great games in my backlog. Still, it's insane to see someone play at your level. I think you're right that the game became legal in Germany just a few years ago, but I'm actually based in Finland. I just put Germany as the country because of the game location. 😅 Didn't mean to mislead anyone. I actually played this the first time back in 1993 too, but didn't come back to it until I decided to try to beat it on the hardest level and make these videos.

The only reason I gave names for all these maps were just because these Maps have no names to begin with
If this map is so worse even if it is the first map, then the next one, god have mercy, because it is ten times worse than this one.
Yeah, none of them were particularly easy for me apart from Floors 4 & 5. They felt like a vacation.
