Although this is sad, the problem is created by politicians who issues public land to voters without telling them that the government can take it away any time. Later when the government comes to reclaim the land, everyone is crying. Nairobi is one of the poorest planned city where millions lives without sewage or any open area for recreation cos everyone want to build and occupy any free area. Those empty spaces were set aside way back to meet needs for everyone not privately.
