The fact that a 12-Volume History author is a middle school teacher and not a college professor really speaks to the humility of this guy. Mr. Wright was the teacher we all wanted, and no one coukd have plplayed him better than Mensach Taylor, may he RIP.
This reminds me of a state project in third grade that my brother (a grade behind me), my stepsister (11 months younger; RIP), and I did. He got Hawaii, she got Kentucky, and I got Illinois. We had a written report, then we had to sculpt a piece a green mixture, into the state with an indication of where the capital was located, onto a piece of wood.
17:15 to be fair, Mosely did spend a lot of time on this bet, instead of her working more on her project and not banking all her grade on the dance alone. I can see this as a form of procastinating. I also had lots of these experiences, where I would do everything on a computer or banking all my grade on one singular thing, and when I lost the ability to present that (either my computer broke down, or a video didnt play, or things like that), i was left then with nothing to present.
College was actually when I had the least trouble with procrastination because of the structured procrastination tip. If I had a Monday/Wednesday/Friday class that had a paper for instance, I'd work on it on those respective days. It would start with choosing a topic, then making a bibliography, then the intro paragraph (or my review of literature depending on the type of paper), and so on and so forth. That way, I would get it done early if not on time, it wouldn't interfere with Tuesday/Thursday classes, and I'd have the weekends to let my brain rest. :)
The cause of procrastination is that our brain hates stress or we don't believe in ourselves accomplishing a task. If we do one task, then our self-esteem grows.
I'm procrastinating tasks for work right now 😅sometimes i think procrastination feels easier because when you have to work under pressure, you get more done! but then again, not everyone works well under pressure.
3:30 I’m glad that not many people wear clogs nowadays. I heard that clogs like the ones Moze is wearing traditionally worn by farmers, anyway, rather than folk dancers; the clogs worn by folk dancers were significantly lighter. It’s a shame that Dutch clogs are wooden; Welsh clog dancers wear clogs made from leather.
Here’s another great Tip Tell yourself that you only have to work on the project for only 5 minutes. There’s a decent chance you will get sucked into the work. If you’re still not getting into it at least you got a bit of work done. Even if it’s a small amount. You can also try later.
I graduated from school but I'm still haunted by bad memories of me procrastinating.(Especially science fair projects) Homework was my one true weakness as a kid because what I feared most was coming home with a huge stack of paper that needed to be done by tomorrow. That never happened but sometimes I would be working till 8:00 or even 9:00 at night and worse of all my Dad would yell and put pressure on me It was very dark days 😓😓😓😓
This episode definitely helped me at times growing up. I enjoy these weekly Ned videos, get me through the week anyway. Next episode I’m looking forward to is substitute teachers which is a few episodes away from here, sure you’ll have some things to say. Along with April fools day, career week, and Failing. I really look forward to your reaction when you meet the guidance councilor and how she acts
This episode was very helpful for me in my senior year in high school. Making procrastination do the work for you. Finding the fun in your assignment and work your way up the hardest stuff. I had an astronomy final assignment that was a bit difficult. I was somewhat procrastinating, but I chose the stuff that would seem the most interesting. For my topic, I decided to do a presentation on the history of some of the rovers of Mars. In the end, I got a 100. That proves this show has tips useful for students of all ages.
Procrastination can be a stinker for sure. Especially if it's for a project where you might want to find or make a particular prop or something. The sooner you start the more time you have to devote to those details.
Sir once again I have enjoyed watching this classic with you and hearing your school background commentary on it! We even got to fire Gordy a couple of times this episode! As for procrastination, I was (and maybe still am) very bad with it. The number of times I pulled off entire assignments in the night or two before it was due..... LOL! Until next time, cheers!
I had to go look up clogs... they need to be customized to the wearer, and then they can be really comfortable. She probably had what were called "blanks." (Although this was back in the early days of the internet, so maybe I can't fault her too much. 😅 )
Moze was trying to break in the shoes so she could learn the dance. I still am a chronic procrastinator 😅. Everything gets done, though I definitely wouldn't recommend procrastinating.
Procrastination is one bad habit I had. Whenever I have homework, I just goof off when I get home to watch my after school programs like Toonami or Miguzi. And whenever I have projects, I procrastinate and barely finish them. I actually do a lot of work when it's near due.
I’m 28 and well out of college, but I still have stress dreams to this day about procrastination and about being halfway through the semester and there was a class I forgot I had.
I feel like the biggest way to break procrastination is getting started. At the very least, starting with a foundation allows time to have things click in unexpected ways on a subject and you'll WANT to write those things down and incorporate it before you forget. By the time it's almost due, more than likely a lot of the work is done and just need structure. Being so close to the finish line will help in the motivation to complete the project. I don't know if that works for everyone but for me, getting started is absolutely key to beat procrastination.
My worst procrastination to date was in my senior year. I was assigned two credit recovery classes for two periods in the first semester. I failed english IV just shy of a passing grade with a 0.6. It was added to my recovery roster so I had to do 3 classes now. The class progress bars weren't moving any closer to finishing on the website and I kept putting it off. In the graduating month of May I finally told my parents I had 2 weeks to complete them and man they flipped hard.
La la la la la la. La la la lots of time. 🎶 I always like little added touches like this. It wasn't strictly necessary, but that makes it clear that the people who made the show cared about it and wanted it to be the best. Exhibit A, how many people in the comments section are praising this simple little ditty that isn't even a minute long. It may be a tiny little thing, but it means so much, and it makes me wants to do my best, too. 😊
12:51 Pretty sure wearing roller skates would be a dress code violation because lots of schools have a policy against wearing shoes with wheels on them due to safety risks.
Wow thanks! I do some of the editing myself - for instance, I do all of the editing for the Ned’s series. I have another editor I use for certain videos that come out Fridays and Saturdays. You can tell they did it if the video includes fancy motion graphics 😀 Thanks for watching! 😎👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Then I won't spoil the tips from that episode. They are indeed helpful. However, there was one tip in that episode that can be altered to be more useful. I won't spoil what the advice is until after you've watched the episode.
Oddly enough I never procrastinated when I was in school, probably because my dad kept me on track as he’d ask me what progress I made that day and I’d alway try to do something.
Moze was wearing the clog shoes, hoping to break them in. Unfortunately, it didn't work. But i guess at least at the very ending of the episode, it looked like she getting into it.
De corazón, mil gracías por hacer estos videos, sé qué usted tiene muchas cosas qué hacer ademas de grabar esto y en días qué ando estrezado cómo hoy, este video me divierte.
After what Moze been through in the end, she’ll never hear the end of it. She’ll probably be a laughing stock for a whole week. Technically it was Moze's own fault because she didn't have to wear the shoes all the time to practice
Not sure if you've heard of Mr. Bean, there is an episode/section of an episode where he is taking an exam of some sorts, perhaps that'd be something you would be interested to react to?
Martika is the model, Vanessa is a girl in Dr. Xavier's math class he likes. But as I said before, when it comes to the Cookie and Lisa relationship dynamic, just wait until Season 3.
Sort of related but wouldn’t it be a potential firing to simply leave a student unattended in the janitor closet since there may be potentially dangerous chemicals or equipment if used wrong
Hello mr brandon, i recently turned 21 and a friend asked me to go to the dispensary for them theyre also 21 but dont have id, but not important. I went to the dispensary and i saw my old high school principal working there he seemed disappointed to see me but i felt the same way seeing him working there. Point of the story is, I dont know if he still works at the school, but is there a rule for school empoyees that want to work at dispensary/bars/liqour stores, or is it better that way they can see if their students are doing illegal stuff?
"La la la la la la, Ned's running out of time..."
Even the background music was calling him out
Lol yes 😂
For the past decade of my life, the “lalalala Ned’s running out of time” song has played in my head when Ive procrastinated something
Lol 😂
Me too!

I agree
"This episode is about procrastination"
Me: *Hello darkness my old friend*
😂
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
2:00 A school principal admits to proscrastinating in the past!? 😮 Mind Blown!!
Yes, lol. I was thinking mostly of when I was a student though. 😂
We all have to endure such hardships at least once, I guess.
There are good employees and then there's gordy. Here's the lesson: dont be a Gordy
Lol yes 😂
There's a lesson later in the series, that explains more of that, but I don't want to spoil it for our principal.
Kind of like the Krusty Krab training video where it says to not be a Squidward.
18:03 Mr. Wright is in the back laughing too.
Wow!!!!!! I didn’t notice. Yeah that’s trouble for Wright as well! 😂
I love the parts in this series where they have a montage with the La La La La La La in the background.
I love the song "too much is the best"
2:33 La La La La La Neds running out of time. 😂
This was my favorite episode, and the one whose tips I tried to apply in real life the most, with mixed success.
13:37 😂 your reaction to background music playing during the kissing scene about to take place was funny.
Lol yeah I wasn’t sure how that was going to go 😂

Ah yes, the start of the "La la la la la la, la la la la la la" music sequence.
Yes, it certainly was catchy. This is the first time I heard that one.

One of my personal favorites! I also had to do a country-based project in 7th grade...which I did not procrastinate on!
