Nice work mate. I need to experiment more with F360 sheet metal

DCTTeacher1 Thanks Aaron! We are a bit limited on tools so might be a good time to learn then before they drop all the rest of the functionality in and it seems more complex.

Hey Kevin, I am trying to make a rectangular part with a rear flange at 85deg, a front flange at 45deg, and a flange on either side at 90deg. how do i get them to meet up the way they automatically do when the flange angles are equal?

How to add divids, or impressions on the sheet metal to add strength say for a 90 degree angle.

Very good and precise explanations thank you! However what do we need to do to get rid of the gaps at the corners and intersectional edges. I want to make an airtight box from sheet metal.

You will never get rid of the gap. That is required in order to form the flange. Sheet metal parts that have that requirement get their seams welded after that part is folded into its final shape.

Btw, was trying to make a flat cone that I could role a while back, and never could figure out how to do it in fusion, and ended up finding some little website you could enter the cone parameters into and it would generate the flat file, but surely its possible in fusion.

Ramsey Customs - There May be a way to do this, but I think it is probably a current limitation. Let me give it a try tomorrow to see if I can make it work out.

juan carlos Hi. Thanks for subscribing! I haven’t done any joint stuff on my channel. However, I did do a joint video for NYC CNC that you can find here www.nyccnc.com/learning-use-joints-fusion-360/

my main problem is changing the actual material that f360 shows in technical drawings. I've tried dragging another material over the body and also over the part, but it never applies the material.
I'm working with Acrylic, not steel.

The link isn’t instant. Change the material and then hit save on the design file. Then when you switch to the drawing you will see a warning that the drawing is out of date. After updating using the update UI l, your parts list should show the new material.
