  • Firstly, I'm no paranormal investigator, though I do have a fascination for all things weird!
So after watching probably far too many spooky backpacking & wildcamping videos on TH-cam, I decided I had to have a go myself!
So what happened? Well, you saw what happened with the ghost detector apps at the cave. Well, I did use them again after nightfall & I'll post them as shorts after this video has gone out. I also filmed 3 videos on the GoPro around midnight, but they have absolutely no volume, something that's never happened before, & the GoPro was working fine again in the morning. They do say your equipment malfunctions during paranormal activity!! So, who knows why that happened!
Do ghost apps really work? Honestly, again, who knows, but they certainly were fun to use, & I'll definitely do another spooky camp probably at Cannock Chase next time, as man does that place have some scary stories!
The apps I used are all from GhostTube, they have 3 different apps for different uses, & are pretty much the best rated on the Play Store. I should add that they are also available for IPhones too.
As I mentioned in the film, I've been watching lots of spooky & weird stuff online of late, so I just had to have a go myself, though my channel won't become a paranormal channel, as it's back to more normal hiking, backpacking, wildcamping & paddleboarding adventures from now, though I'll definitely be doing a couple of haunted area camps from time to time in the future.
If you know of any stories of the White Lady of Biddulph Grange let me know in the comments, & also if you know of any other haunted areas in the north West Midlands or North West of England, again let me know in the comments & I may just come & spend the night there!
Finally, I just want to say thanks for watching, & for any likes & new subscribers, it really does mean a lot to me! 😁
The next film will be a backpack in the Peak District National Park...

The 1 mile walk that leads to the cave is aligned with the summer solstice, before trees grew to large the solstice sunrise was supposed to light up the cave. Beyond back of the cave in the field behind , there was a small chapel where templar knights were buried and apparently treasure was also found. The grave covers (you probably know this) can be found in St Lawrence's church yard. The Batemans used to hold seances and rituals in the cave and were part of an occult circle, that whole area reeks of mystery. Nice vid keep it up mate👍

Thank you for taking the time to comment, really appreciate it!
I'm off paddleboarding at 5am tomorrow so it's bedtime.
However, I'll send a much more in-depth reply tomorrow when I get home, as I've got some really creepy wildcamps coming up very soon!
      More tomorrow....

Yeah so thanks for watching & especially subscribing, I've subscribed back & will starr watching your vids through the coming evenings!
Yes I was aware of most of what you said, but didn't know the Bateman's were as into the occult as much as they were!
Which now just adds more evidence, not that it was needed just how haunted the Grange is!
I've got a few backpacks coming up, some just in The Peak District, but a couple of more spooky ones, the first being The Cloud. Now I'd planned on camping up there anyway, just for the views, but after just a little research it seems a fair bits happened on there in the past! Human sacrifice, a drummer boy got murdered & is supposedly haunting the hill, or at least you can apparently sometimes here him drumming! So that's planned for pretty much the next weekend we get half decent weather, so hopefully very soon🤞
My other is going to be either on Saddleworth Moors or very close to them, Blackstone Edge, as back in my 20s I lived in Littleborough for about 4 years. It's technically part of Gtr Manchester, but on the very northern edge, as it's just surrounded by the big rolling hills & moors of the Pennines, & just from my time up there, even though I wasn't into the outdoors back then (too busy partying & watching bands in Manchester lol, though it was my early 20s, well over 20 years ago now,. However, I made some brilliant friends who I've stayed in touch with & one is actually a best friend, & I usually go up & stay with him for a few days every year. So now I'm getting into all this camping in spooky locations, he's happily said I can use his as a bit of a base, plus he'll drop me off & pick me up in the mornings, so yeah, they are the two spooky ones I've got coming up, but The Cloud will definitely be a warm up for Saddleworth & the surrounding area, as there's a lot that's happened in that region over many years! So we'll see what happens!!
Any tips are most welcome, as I'm no ghost hunter, though I do plan on filling a short TH-cam vid basically asking my subscribers what they want to see. Do they want me to carry on as I am with lots of beautiful scenery & mountain stuff, with paddleboarding obviously thrown in, clips from gigs I go & other random stuff I film, or do they prefer the spooky side of things or just more backpack/wildcamp & paddleboarding vids with both cinematic filming & my vlogs. Though I definitely will carry on camping in spooky areas just like I will beautiful areas, but I'd like to know what they prefer, though going by views alone I think the spooky/weird stuff is definitely popular!
I only really started taking it seriously this year. Got my GoPro last year, had to suss that out, then what was once a chore, editing is now a something I really enjoy, though that's ever since I discovered Power Director, a brilliant video editor, especially for the price, it's worth the money alone for the vast amount of uncopywrited music on there! There's literally a genre for every mood, & if you click on any of the many genres then there's at least 50 songs if not more for that genre, which includes both horror & spooky as well as others that would fit this type of vid, having said all that, most of it is vlogs anyway!! But for me at least, it's the best video editor out there!
Oh thanks for answering the Biddulph question, as to whether it's Stoke or Staffs Moorlands, I always thought it was Staffs Moorlands, now I know! So I appreciate that!
I'm nearing 100 subscribers, still a tiny ammont, but as soon as I reach 100 to celebrate I'll be adding a drone, just to give my vids another aspect!
Anyway I'll leave it there for now, but will look forward to checking your content out in the coming evenings, & leaving comments & asking questions no doubt!
