Leon is the best "Traitor," character in the Series (ironic considering he's the first) and what makes it even more bitter is that he canonically dies.
Nowadays, I can recognize a traitor well in advance - they're usually mercenaries or merchants (Anise counts too because she's so obsessed with money), and, of course, there are several skits in which they're left to monologue to the player.
I am sure that was a risk that Hugo was willing to make when he had that place excavated. Seems in line with his character to willingly sacrifice a random member of his staff to get himself to safety.
I much prefer the scene where Leon tells Rutee that they're siblings here compared to the original PS1 version. In *that* version, Leon mostly uses it as an insult & a way to trigger Rutee. But here? He knows he's going to die, so he wants to make sure Rutee knows the truth of her Mom before that happens (which sidenote, he almost tells her that back in the ship when she healed him, but was interrupted). So unlike in the original where it's mainly out of spite, this really feels like a goodbye & he wants his Sister to know the truth of her Mom not out of spite, but because she deserves to know the truth... Leon may still be a dick here, but he's so much more sympathetic in the PS2 remake
This English patch is solid, too bad the translator felt like keeping keeping the localized the names of some characters. Like "Katrea" instead of "Katret".
I love how palpable the hurt is in Stahn's voice at 2:03. Such good voice acting and I don't even speak Japanese.
I appreciate here they stress out that Stahn sees Leon as a friend despite everything

The "Irony of Fate"

After playing dc destiny is one of my favorite
What makes this slightly darker is that he's the 2nd youngest party member in the game
This death always remind me of Asch the bloody
Don't remind me that :")
@@inquisira sorry it looks way to similar
@Joseph Williams because it looks cool when it does
@Joseph Williams it’s always the one with the most tragic backstory
I've somehow forgotten the entire plot of that.
the elevator switch position does not make any sense, it's designed to kill someone in emergency situation

Its funny that Leon actually born twice and he took complete a different path 😂
Very tragic Scene. But what kind of asshole designs a lift that requires someone to stay behind to pull the lever?
In the PS1 version, Leon told Rutee that they both have the same mother before the fight.
Lion!!!
I knew those 2 had to be related

Doesn't he come back somehow in tales of destiny 2? The real one not Eternia. Kinda like Ghaleon in Lunar Eternal Blue
He does. Elraine, the antagonist of that game, brought him back to life, he now goes by the name Judas.
@@Ckkhris Wait, he doesn't mind about that name? I thought he wanted to be prefered as Nameless Swordsman?
He dies again at the end of that game too.
@@kap1618 is even Kyle know about him beIng his uncle?
Leon is judas
Give us destiny 2 bancom come on.
