Sometimes I will keep 3 trays in rotation. The current color and the last two. Usually it is during the next color that I find the missed ones.
Thank you Rebecca! So happy to see this wonderfully explained video, and all the kind comments ! This tip combined with my nail polish rack has really sped up my diamond painting. You can get sets of the mini trays all in clear or white from Temu. I found a 12”x12” acrylic tray at Target that fits 36 of them. ❤️from 🇨🇦
I’m going to try that set up with the purple set of trays as I’m forever missing symbols
I cut up the green boats and put them in harbor freight containers. It's nicer when each color has it's own lidded container. You can then write on the harbor freight container with a sharpie then clean it off later with alcohol wipe. Or put on a whiteboard sticker and write the symbol with a wet erase marker to then clean off with a wet paper towel later.
@AnimeFreakKatie Ya kno, this is a fab idea. This will b excellent for those Randal Spangler dp's. I work from bags & the idea of using 3-5 trays & re-bagging when going to a new section is a lil off-putting. Thx for the tip 🥰
Space is always a factor, my desk just doesn't have the space but I'm sure it may be useful for those with more space to work in.
I agree, I have a small set up, so if I missed one I just dip straight into my pot 😅

Great idea if you have the space. I use an easel and limited space. I have found though that I can pretty much place my hand on which container I’m looking for and I use EW so it’s pretty easy to just dip my pen in the container and get what I need without the extra work.
Love this idea! I do have three smaller purple trays I can do this with plus my larger purple tray. I don’t always miss but I found out today that I missed a space on my pink gnome and fixed that. That was my first ever canvas. I’ve gotten better now that I have ten items under my belt! 😂

It's a good idea but seems a little to much extra work for me. What I do is if I miss a symbol I just pull out the jar and dip my pen right into the jar and fill the hole.
Or if it is confetti heavy and I see I miss one I just fill it with the current color I am working with as long as it is not a drastic change!!
@sback2000 I use bags. I've always just dipped my pen into the bag for one or two missing drills this way 🙂

I love the way she cut up the green trays for the sorter. I have a few of those rolling around my garage. I am gonna try it just to have something to do with my green tray collection. I see myself using that for a partial painting….rhinestones would work great with it. I already kit up into trays for every painting I do at home. Storage systems only come out only if I am traveling.
