Thanks so much for this easy to follow, informative tutorial on how to make this marvelous, swinging sofa bed!
I’m starting a GLAMPing project on my land in Alabama & I know this will be a “HIT” with the adults & kids!!!!!
It could also be a fabulous, festive fort for the kids.
Simply put a mosquito net, mattress & tarp over the pallet bed &
WA~LA, you have a Wonderful,whimsical magical fort.
This structure has so many possibilities:
1) Extra sleeping 💤 space above & below. BUNKbeds !
2) Large, SOLAR chandelier.
3) Put in cup holders & use the flat, frame as a table.
To stabilize the platform use old broom sticks at the 4 corners &
for an added flare 🤩 add tiki torches, tape some solar lights onto the broom sticks & for the kids, have them attach some glow sticks.
4) Use as a
SOLAR OVEN for baking &
SOLAR DEHYDRATION-
platform for fruits 🍎 🍌 🍑.
For the oven- use silver, reflectic’s
SUN SHADES that are used in the car 🚙 as sun 🌞 shades.
As well as, a large, black, roasting pot with lid.
For dehydrating-
Cover the base of the platform with cardboard/aluminum foil, put fruit in place & cover with a clear plastic & laundry pin the covering to ensure that no lizards 🦎
mice 🐭 squirrels 🐿 or bugs enter the dehydration space.
5) Hanging plant 🪴 & flower 🌸 holder.
6) Put a air mattress under the hanging sofa bed then cover the flat surface with a dark sheet or blanket to create a hideaway for the kiddos .
*For FUN 🤩 attach a glow in the dark solar system to the bottom of the pallets. 😊
NOW, let the fun begin!

Can you tell what use sizes, type of chain? As look at wood glutplan they cause money Thank You
I like the basic idea but I want a smaller version and am trying to figure out where to cut the pallet. I don't need door hinges as I only want it to be a seat swing, not a swing/bed. I guess I"ll just have to cut it off and maybe get a board to use as an edge so the bend of my knees wont get scraped when I'm sitting? Thanks for the ideas though.
