crazy! couple small changes and boom we now we can charge a few more grand for the bike! I love how bike companies or like car companies always do small changes every year to get the public to keep buying
Couple things. First off, "small" changes can make HUGE differences in high-performing bikes, and this V2 model rides vastly differently (and better) than the V1 model. And second, it's not "a few grand" more. Its price tag is only a little more than before, and this price increase seems to be exactly in line with what you might expect to pay for anything from a pair of shoes to a lawn mower to a high-end race bike at this point in time. Have a great day.
Love the bike build, I would never use Sram brakes once you'd grown to specific brake you are set, but I would not mind running Eagle on my Marin San Quentin 2 with NX being the most possible groupset I can go with.
@@vancedgalaxytab331 I use Shimano XT 4-piston brakes, and I have never had an issue with them grabbing too tight. Just don't death grip the lever, and they work fine.
Do you make anything to stabalize the chain. Theres a video that shows them dropping a Santa Cruz Bronson and the XX1 chain and dearauiler have so much movement the chain is close to coming off.
Just like any other new bike, it has gotten slacker and has a steeper seat tube angle. If I remember correctly, the previous generation had a 65 degree head tube angle, which was getting a bit outdated. Now it is 63.8, and 63,5 in the low setting. It’s bike evolution rather than revolution 👍 And that in-frame storage is certainly an upgrade, if you ask me.
Size specific chainstays; different geometry; better rear tyre clearance; an integrated storage box needs basically a whole redesign of a frame too, because structure needs to change to accomodate for it, its not just as easy as cutting a whole into the frame. It might look similar but alot has changed! Plus big names = marketing, understatements dont exist in advertizing.
Actually filmed all the things, even the little stuff. Right on
Gotta love the coil shock and a zeb that has a few tokens in it. Awesome setup for enduro
Glad they didn't show the part where he is swearing like a sailor for three hours straight while trying to get the tyres on! 😄
This is entirely accurate.
And going back to get more Stan's that has spilled on the floor in the process 🤣
@@SRAM I see what you did there.
I for one would love to watch that
Man, I was beginning to think I was the only one who struggled with this.
Quite funny that the saddle is a specialized
Sram is out of stock so they have to put something, they dont want Santa Cruz saddle cuase they know it sucked so bad.
They added Specialized SWAT to it so it’s very fitting
Specialized Bridge saddle is the comfiest I’ve ever sat on.
@@Shauny808 Ever tried an Ergon saddle? They're pretty darn comfy too
Santa and spez is the cousin of their grandfathers mother😁
I will NEVER do a bike build anywhere but in the lobby of an office complex. This guy knows what’s up.
Fancy lobby ✔️ Taking suggestion for our next Built location 👇

My Favorite Bike ever and I haven’t even seen or ridden V2 in person I had an insane Rush of excitement seeing this bike just released today
Awesome build! Givin the Fillmore Valve some love with the double tap. So addictive
What a beautiful bike, it is really my dream bike Santa Cruz 😍
Beautiful
Silver coil spring, i want it!
This is meditative 🧘🏽♂️
Awesome build!! 👌🏻
Fresh new bike from SC for 2022! What's new? New geo, color and storage box, you will also pay a few hundreds extra for those fresh upgrades!
or a few thousand.
GEORGEOUS

Lol did you just emerge from a cave and forget that everything costs 20-60% more this year thanks to inflation/fuel costs? 😅🤦🏻♂️🤷🏼♂️✌️

Code rscs are literally the best brakes I've ever tried. The only nice brake that doesn't skid or send you over the bars every time you grab on them

Threaded bb is the only way to go
Where do I get my hands on a hose cutter like that?
When I expect this guy to build mine, same specs, same location and maybe half the price 😂👍👌

I know it's a suspension fork but how hard is it to hold the fork when you smack the crown race? 😋
And then it's come in the market with XTR groupset lol.
♥️
same guy from the trek slash ifht films video
Low key mad my V4 Bronson dosent have the storage box, Could have totally been added. the downtube is MASSIVE
🥰😍😍😍😍
what type of air valves on tires?
Reserve Fillmore valves
The compression ratio is still disappointing. Could have kept 160 travel with a 65 stroke shock 🙃 for a 2.46 : 1 ratio
Stop geeking out over numbers and ride the thing
Isn’t “all new” a bit overstated? Other than the storage box and 5mm more rear travel than prior year is there more that is new on this frame?

A small tweak in sizing can change all the numbers adding 5m on the back you have to adjust everything. Try to design a frame and you will know
The design had got much sharper and cleaner
cool, not like I'm gonna be able to afford it before buying a house, but cool. Might sell my right kidney, only need one anyway.
Where can I send you my adress, so you can send it to me 👌🤠😜
will 2 of my kidneys cover the cost of this bike?
Sram brakes are shit
Nice desert bike, designed for SOCAL....Not the PNW, UK or places where there are muddy trails.
free bearings are nice
I live in the PNW I also ride a Megatower & I just dig it🤗
When will Santa Cruz make affordable bikes?
We wont be alive at that point lol
When will Maybach make affordable cars?
Tell me you're gay without saying you're gay xD
All new? And these bike build vids are just plain annoying and overdone.
Some of us enjoy it so shut up and watch something else if you don't like it
Who hurt you?
Tell us you’re broke and need a new bike without telling us 😅✌️
dont watch it then?
