I just hate it when color comes off from clothes on my nice bags :( I hope I'll be able to get the color out. Those bags are Beautiful! I haven't purchased a bag in years. In the past I have "invested" in bags that I expected to last the test of time. The brands I've chosen: Gucci, Coach, Burberry, and D&B, have worn very well. They all look like new, even the Gucci I received as a gift for my 30th birthday (I'm now 58!). Anyway, I wanted to treat myself to a new bag. Since I've been vegan for several years I've been self conscious about carrying a leather bag even if it is just trimmed in leather. I wanted to get something vegan that is well made and classic but kinda hip. I just ordered a bag from Canopyverde. Have you heard of it? It is an Etsy company. I am an avid watcher of your videos but I didn't realize you had this video in your library until after I had made my purchase. I haven't received my bag yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Let me ask your readers a question for conversation. Would they, as a vegan buy a handbag that simulates python, snake, crocodile, fur products, etc.? Even though it is fully Vegan? The reason why is I had found a fair number of them, and wonder *if* they still tell the tale to buy animal skins because the skins (even though these would be fake) are valued as a status point? I know some of us wear them to tell people you can have "fashion" without the suffering, but still.... I have a problem (myself) with python, I have seen a video here telling how the giant pythons of SE Asia were becoming extinct in some areas due to overkilling by Asian investors. There were investors having WHOLE WAREHOUSES of python and exotic snake skins STILL! This is problematic as snakes are a prime source of getting rid of rodents (which can get quite big in tropical areas.) and other pests to agriculture and villagers. The thing that bothered me was a snake, getting hit over the head and gutted, almost while still alive. Reptiles are either loved or hated, and I am not a big fan of reptiles myself, but I can't stand seeing this kind of abuse of any living creature. Please be aware of this when making your belt, shoe and handbag/clutch purchases. I have recently started doing a lot of fabric/cloth bags due to this factor. To each her own, but something to think about, maybe.....?
All I have to say is gunas is not a brand to buy from. Over priced and poor quality. My experience with the bag I got from them makes me never want to try high end vegan leather again. Lasted less than a year and the bow on my bag fell off on one side leaving pokey staples that stabbed me. No thanks. Not for that price tag. So disappointed. I'll stick to target bags.
There is actually a difference between faux fur/leather and vegan handbags. True vegan handbags don't use glue and coloring (red) derived from animals!
