The personal touch on the representation is very interesting and makes the video unique. I'm afraid it might entrench the status quo forever, with the caveat that not all the status quo powers will make this transition. But the ones that do will have runaway power. Think about it. Let's say AI enhances material engineering, medicine and microchip fabircation. Who will benefit the most from these? The companies who already have the manufacturing infrastructure to produce these ideas: aerospace, pharmaceutical and chip making companies. Or further down the line, imagine if AI allowed people to create whatever they wanted like the replicator in Star Trek. One random dude could carbon copy himself a million times (even replicate the replicator). Clearly, there will be massive restrictions on how and who AI empowers.
We are at a crossroads. The entrenchment of the status quo is certainly one path. We don't have to walk down it though. To be more specific, if one random dude can replicate a replicator, how can anyone stop him? Don't let anyone hold *you* back. Go make your replicator - and do something good with it 😁
