You should definitely try to get into more SNK games. They always were the solution for whatever issue you got with 3d fighters or Capcom fighters and KOF and garou are so good. Same with Sam sho

2:16 I think I can make an educated guess as to why. You're a very character driven guy and so far you probably just haven't seen a character that's personally excited you, whether it's personality or gameplay (most likely the latter).
9:20 that came from the big ragnar capcom leak in 2020, it had ssf6 in 2023 and usf6 in 2024 (remember SF6 was supposed to launch in 2022 before the ono situation). Another file had budgets for all the titles leaked and both the upgrades had a very small portion of what the main game had, so they are either quite small updates or (most likely) codenames for season 1 and 2 of dlc.
I wasn't hype for City of the Wolves either, until i realized that Oda-san is the producer. He was the combat designer for SF4, SSF4 and AE (he left before Ultra, lol, [explains a few things]). Now i'm super hype for it.

I don’t trust they have much intention of truly revitalising the game until at least the end of Y3, maybe 4. It’s a low-hanging fruit, but they can’t even release skins at a decent rate, I’m not putting my faith in a full scale title update

I absolutely adore both HxH and MvC3, Nen Impact should be a match made in heaven... but... that budget... I'm going to be torn if it's a full priced game, I really hope they price it reasonably (I know they won't though).
I have zero interest in playing 2XKO myself, but I hope it does well if only to demonstrate that a truly F2P fighting game can work. Outside of that I'm looking forward to where Tekken 8 and GBVSR go in the coming season. Also curious to see whether the rumors are true of Capcom pulling in people from other projects to work on Monster Hunter Wilds, which potentially means that, after that game releases, SF6 will start to see more regular content updates.

FGC people putting so much faith in 2XKO are in for a rude awakening with how Riot Games handles their own games, I used to play three of their games (LoL, TFT, LoR) and I ended up burnt out with all of them due to their baffling management and design/balance decisions. I'm way more excited about Garou and possible SF6 updates tbh.
I played LoL for 10 years, and I feel it only really got bad at the end. If I get 10 years out of 2KXO, that would be amazing. TFT and Valorant are still fairly big titles that are generally well liked. LoR seemed to have a monetization issue that shut it down. I wouldn't be surprised if 2XKO stays a largely popular game for at least 5 years. People will complain about balance, but that's just how online gaming works, I think.

2XKO has a lot of potential ramification depending on its policies, release state, and monetization. It's definitely something to keep on eye on, even if you aren't personally interested in playing the game.

I got to say, I expect Diesel Legacy to be better than 2XKO. Even just because it's not a tag fighter, and you can't start a match and go to the kitchen to pour tea. But general public didn't notice DL release, so it's relegated to parties only, unfortunately.
I think that if they keep adding more EVOs, the value of winning them is devalued, and it's a bit unfair compared to past generations. Someone can become champion 6 times in a game in just 2 years lol
Not entirely related but... I don't mind people getting hype for 2XKO, but I think everyone gives Riot waaay too much credit. Everything I see about the game is "it's gonna save the FGC", "finally a game that can onboard beginners ", "Riot is gonna show how to make a sustainable fighting game", and then I ask myself if we're talking about the same company that ruined their main game with a _cat_ for like two years, lol. It's not gonna be a flop, but I can guarantee it's not gonna be as free of bad decisions like people seem to assume it will be. While I agree to wanting _Super SF6_ , 10000% _HELL NO_ to any kind of "selection". Super Art Select, Ultra Select, V-Trigger Select were ALL _terrible_ . All they do is split up characters into different flavours and add needless complexity to matchups without making the game any better. SF6 as is, where everyone has all options at all times, should remain. Absolutely no "Select" option in any SF game again, thanks. That should remained buried in the past with other bad ideas like SFV's priority system, SFA2's Custom Combos, etc. Oh, and aside from more SF6, I'm looking forward to COTW. MOTW is one of the few SNK fighters I actually like, so I hoping for the best with COTW. Surprisingly, while VF6 isn't coming out any time soon, I think I might check out _Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O._ I feel an interest in picking up Wolf, though I have no intention of becoming serious with it and I have no interest in playing against other people. But at US$15.00 currently, I figure I can't go wrong. Even if I play it for a week or two then stop, that'll be fine.

Not entirely related but... I don't mind people getting hype for 2XKO, but I think everyone gives Riot waaay too much credit. Everything I see about the game is "it's gonna save the FGC", "finally a game that can onboard beginners ", "Riot is gonna show how to make a sustainable fighting game", and then I ask myself if we're talking about the same company that ruined their main game with a _cat_ for like two years, lol. It's not gonna be a flop, but I can guarantee it's not gonna be as free of bad decisions like people seem to assume it will be. No matter how much you may think Bandai or Capcom has messed up, Riot is no example to be followed either.

While I agree to wanting _Super SF6_ , 10000% _HELL NO_ to any kind of "selection". Super Art Select, Ultra Select, V-Trigger Select were ALL _terrible_ . All they do is split up characters into different flavours and add needless complexity to matchups without making the game any better. SF6 as is, where everyone has all options at all times, should remain. Absolutely no "Select" option in any SF game again, thanks. That should remained buried in the past with other bad ideas like SFV's priority system, SFA2's Custom Combos, etc.
Oh, and aside from more SF6, I'm looking forward to COTW. MOTW is one of the few SNK fighters I actually like, so I hoping for the best with COTW.
Surprisingly, while VF6 isn't coming out any time soon, I think I might check out _Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O._ I feel an interest in picking up Wolf, though I have no intention of becoming serious with it and I have no interest in playing against other people. But at US$15.00 currently, I figure I can't go wrong. Even if I play it for a week or two then stop, that'll be fine.

I think a way to truly upgrade the Mechanics of SF6 would be to let every character interact with the Drive Gauge in their own Unique Way.
