What If You Didn't Have To Be Afraid? - John Burke | Time For Forgiveness #42

- Today, we are joined by John Burke. For decades, Burke has been studying accounts of survivors brought back from near death who lived to tell of both heavenly and hellish experiences. John is the author of The New York Times best-seller "Imagine Heaven," a book that compares over 100 gripping stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) to what Scripture says about Heaven.
In our conversation, John details these stories and shares insight into thought-provoking topics and questions such as: the truth about hell, will God judge me, will I see my loved ones after I die, why should I forgive someone, will I go to Heaven, what is God like, what is Heaven like, what do we see after we die, does God love me, and more.
John's years of research into these experiences inspires us all and we are so thankful he is here to share it with you today.

We are so sorry for your loss❤️ It is beautiful to see God comforting us through one another's stories and experiences so we do not have to walk this journey alone. We are so glad you are part of our community🦋
Burke dodged the question about accepting Jesus as your savior. (?)
Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
John Burke’s book called Imagine the God of Heaven blew me away. I was so overwhelmed by the love of God. I can’t recommend this book enough. We have no idea how much He loves us.
Yeah because God don't give a s***
There's a lot of contradictions in this s***
Thank you all❣️ Many blessings to you ❣️ This helped me so much ❣️ Love and comfort to everyone ❣️ 🙏 🥰 ❤️
We are so glad you are here🦋

This world is not a place condusive to learning how to love.
This is where you learn to love. Godbless you 😊
@@karlahemphill3414 How can we learn to love in this fallen world?
I also feel like you,
However, I now feel that I could not understand love until my wife died of cancer.
My grief for somebody I spoke to every day for 32 years is so profound that it redefines all my opinions of life.
@@nicovancoller1304 i’m sorry for your loss. I too have lost many loved ones just in the last year and the grief is just overwhelming.. I think the only answer is seeking a spiritual solution. In my case, I believe in Jesus. As morbid as this may sound, I look forward to leaving this world.
Hi...
Even atheists say the same
Im not afraid because it will be just like before we were born we were alsondidnt exist. Youre not going to even be aware ❤
Exercising the "spiritual muscles" and having the gift of the Holy Spirit - isn't it different concepts ?
We exercise and develop our spiritual muscles through practicing our faith, trust and listening to our intuition. Our intuition is God speaking to and through us.
The gift of the Holy Spirit is always available when we are open to it's work in us and through us.
A good question to ask ourselves is "Am I open to its work in my life?"
In my opinion (and I could be wrong) the forgiveness is not just about to cover up the bad things that someone did to you and befriended that person but to make those hard feelings as the subject FOR GIVING them to God for Him to judge and to deal with that on His righteous and specific way to put everything into His right order. And my trust in God's judgment should be as an extinguisher of the flame of my anger towards those who hurt me. This kind of approach to biblical phrase "pray for your enemies" in my belief should be practiced when someone hurts us and the result of this prayer will speak for itself.
...and when God FOR GIVES people He intervenes in their hearts with the repentance and the renewal of their minds...
GO PLANT-BASED! God said, "I have given you every plant with seeds on the face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seeds. This will be your food."

Love does not require free will. The best example of why this is true is the love of a mother for her children. She can't help loving them, she is compelled by nature, there is no free will involved. Usually we love others without choosing to, whether we wanted to or not. This man contradicts himself when he says that God "can't not" love you, and then says love is predicated upon free will.
Hi there. My name is Adam too. I just wanted you to say what you said about a mother's love is absolutely true. I know it from my mom. Thank you for writing this. ☺️🌈
You’re missing the point. God does not want to force us to love him. He wants us to choose to love him with our free will.
And love is a free will choice. A mother may feel affection for her children, similar to a pet, and still not be able to give them what they need. A man might love his wife the same way, without being able to be the husband to her that she needs. Love involves work, too, the willingness to do for another the things that they need, no matter whether the feeling or energy is there to do it. Can’t tell you how many many times I got up in the middle of the night to feed a child, clean up their vomit, rub a leg with a horrible cramp. Not because of a feeling of “love”, but the knowledge of their need, and the bare fact that I had to attend to it, no matter how ill or exhausted I might feel. Believe me, I wasn’t “compelled by nature”. I was acting as a mature human being responding to a need. Just as God “can’t not love” you, because He created you, His love is absolutely predicated on a free will response. That response includes letting you choose hell and absence from Him, even tho He would desire mightily to give you Heaven. You are the one who chooses, with your own free will.
