Fascinated to see how little has happened to concept cars since 1989... they all look pretty much the same. Smooth exterior, suicide doors etc. And none of it ever ended up being manufactured, unless watered down to something completely different. Sigh.

Car design has a narrow line to follow. Any car that is too different in styling from that which came before will not sell. Any car which is too similar will not stand out. A car is a personal statement, and customers know what they want their cars to state: "I'm wealthy, and stylish... but also respectable in my conformity. Not some freak who drives a weirdmobile."

Unfortunately the tape was stolen when my U-Haul got broken into in the late 90s but I had a recording of Horizons complete with my mother saying “Do we have to see that shitty little kids birthday again?” 😂 She was very tired but was humoring me because she knew I wanted to capture the
ride!

Video tapes definitely do not stand up to time itself. The 1980s was not kind to VHS and Beta. Tapes stretch, plastic turns more gummy with the decades
