- The GodFather is a very intuitive unit that can help shape sounds and have fun doing sonic explorations. This long walkthrough video includes a drum break that continually plays; sorry about that!
I encountered a bug on my unit; the bug was reported and fixed. The Enjoy Electronics team was super responsive. As a result, I re-recorded a section of the video. I plan to do more videos with The GodFather; if you want me to demo something specific, please let me know!

Dude. Brilliant video and full on kick ass mini jam at the end. I am on a tall peak overlooking a fjord, the northern lights are dancing and so too, our extra terrestrial visitors. Nice one bud. Gonna have to save but now, my main priority........thank you. X

Awesome demo video! Thank you for putting it together. Just curious… have you used Elektron’s Analog Heat before? I’ve been thinking about purchasing that, but seeing that this has 4 channels with compression and saturation along with reverb and delay effects, I’m thinking this could kind of fill the same purpose.

They provide enough different feature sets that would complement each other.
I really like the saturation on the unit, especially on drums. Compression is a more "to taste" subject, but you can do side chain compression easily.
Recently I've been creating breaks, using the saturation, recoding them to tape, playing them back with more saturation, and then sampling them; lots of crunchy fun!
You will enjoy this unit for the multiple possibilities and use in live performance or studio use. Cheers!
new to modular i came across your vid..what a boss of a machine..not knowing much about setups i have a semi mod synth ..arturia minibrute 2 keys.would the godfather sync up to it..?
Yes, you should be able to sync via CV or Midi. You can also send CV to it. I plan to do a video showing that as well.
If i hadnt found synths as a result of been a guitarist with to many guitar pedals, this would be great.
As i side note some efx pedals i didnt particularly like on guitar actually work great with synths, & a wahwah pedal makes a great filter!

I'm really curious about the filters on the Godfather. Your demo goes over them really quickly so I don't feel like I get a real sense of what they can do. How are you finding them?
I plan to do one more video, and I will play more with the filters. I like them from a sculpture point of view. They can help shape the sound, and I find myself using them often. You can use them like DJ Filters to get that type of vibe.
They are super handy when feeding a stereo source and then panning sides with different filter settings.

hey there, just got my unit today. can you tell me the latest firmware you have? mine is 0.921-2. I've been experiencing audio issues related to channel 1 and when changing the volume or reverb amount on a particular channel via midi there is noise. its also not reacting to triggers via midi. just want to see where you are at with this being one of the first to have it.
Hi, my unit has the same version as yours, is the latest update. The audio issues you encounter could be due to digital clipping; try to lower the volume of the device you are using on channel 1 or/and lower the gain setting on the GodFather. The clipping is more apparent when pushing the delay or reverb, but by lowering the volume, I found the issue goes away.
I have yet to try midi triggers. If you still have issues after trying the above, I recommend emailing the support team. They respond really fast!

Do you know if the godfather uses the same efx engine as the reminder? Or is that a whole other beast?
Don't know, perhaps in portions of the Delay/ DDP, the reverb sounds different, I have the reminder as well. mmm, Perhaps I should compare both in a video?

It's a neat unit but it seems very expensive for what it does.
And this is different to any other eurorack synth module how? 😂😜
@shogunai true. With euro I only buy used and when I can find a killer deal. I don't know how people can afford to have a huge modular setup. I make better than average income and don't have kids and I still can't afford the kind of systems a lot of people seem to have.
