The winning team excessively pumped the laurels of the client, and the other team really should've pushed back harder against their puffery and preening. It was an interesting strategy, it seems, to agree to "not interrupt each other" in the appearance of good faith at the beginning, and use that agreement to completely ignore their questions and launch into their own line of questioning for two minutes before opposing counsel could speak. I would've returned the strategy.
