This weekend I went to a whisky festival with the SOWLEG guys and tried several whiskies. Of all the bourbon matured whiskies the top three were all (though neither most expensive, oldest or from the most flashy brands) from G&M Connoisseurs line and we all ended up bringing home bottles from this line. Maybe it's just a fluke, but it had me impressed with their cask quality.
Never seen a 22 year old bottling. I have both the Bunnahabhain 12 and 18 on hand. Subtle smoke, robust flavors, nutty, fruity, 46%... What's not to like..?
I definitely need to acquire some indy bottle bunnahabhains... I have never been disappointed by any G&M bottles to date.
