Ive been putting off making a wig or rerooting because they are so time consuming. This is the answer I didnt know i needed! Your wigs are gorgeous!!! I love the loose lock method you showed, and you explained it all so perfectly. Even with a few fumbles, its the perfect video. I know I can do this and can do it quickly. THANK YOU.

Thank you very well explained and each strand of hair was perfect.the rows were well hidden thank you 🇬🇧 northern Ireland.dont worry if a few words you have not pronounced correctly .example rows of hair.i am english and many people do not pronounce our own language perfectly.english is very hard and many people fail our exams.i hope you didn't mind me correcting you on strands of hair.i am just helping.like when I try to speak Spanish to my Spanish friends in Spain.they correct me.they understand my SPANGLISH LOL as they call it.but the important thing is they understand.your english is good it was just two words you struggled with.ROWS AND IT IS STRANDS OF WOOL.STRANDS OF HAIR.OK THANK YOU 🇬🇧

I'm going to try this method for my next doll wig (long teeswater locks) and wondered if you think it would work to use a color-matched mohair yarn for the cap part? In that case, still sock weight? Maybe a little heavier weight? I'd like the yarn to fuzz out a bit to blend with the hair, if that makes sense! Thank you!!
that makes absolute sense. I try to make the making of a doll as accessible as possible for the average crafter. You even could use DollyMo mohair (special doll hair yarn) and a bigger hook in European size 4,5 mm for instance. If you use normal mohair yarn which is thin make sure you do not crochet every round with both strands. That would give you a too dense wig

Yes- my last wig (wefted and sewn down to a cap) I spaced the wefts about 1/4”-3/8” apart and liked the density, so I’ll probably try to space them more or less like that but with the mohair wig cap, I won’t have those ugly bare spots showing when her hair is styled! Also- one last question, when crocheting the locks in directly, with something long and eith an obvious top and bottom like teeswater, would you crochet in the top, fuzzier part of the lock (rather than farther down the shaft)? And trim at all? So nervous to mess up the beautiful locks! Thank you!

Hi Simona, it is rather a difficult fiber. I sew the raw locks on a soluble strip before washing them.
