Did you Already build the Pet House? if not you can't adopt it and you can't bring it to your home to become a pet.
You can build the pethouse (inside the House)
1. is in your Backyard For (Dog's) if your pethouse is level 1, actually you can upgrade it to level 2 to adopt a Deer
2. is in your 2nd Floor for (Cat's Only)
and if you want to train your Pet, you need to build the Pet Shop first, you can see the Requirements in the Bulletin Board inside the Village Hall on how to build it.
to bought some Train Biscuits to train your pet.

@@rnmaaw15 Yes, you need to buy that house at Area 3 (7-Home)
The toolbox It's only available if you have a decent House.
After you buy that house you can purchase the Toolbox on the Shop to build some things inside the house. Like: Workbench, Smelter Etc. And to craft some items too.

Farming/management/finance/construction
I just kinda got back to the game so I don't know much like when it was just like only 4 places and 4 girls
You can increase that stats by studying in the Campus (Outside Citampi)
But first you need a car to go there
And If you don't know how to buy car in Citampi. You can see the requirements on how to build the Carshop in the bulletin board inside the Village Hall - Area 6
