I just get tired of using my phone along with a controller. Seems so outdated. You would think DJI would only have the RC with issues solved and compatible with all drones
I have the RC controller here in the US for my A2S and it works perfectly. No signal issues whatsoever where I saw my previous Smart Controller had issues in certain areas where my RC does not. Very happy with mine.
1st flight of my Air 2S in urban area using the DJI RC. After 1km without dropping a bar of signal, I pressed return to home. No issues whatsoever. I'm not using the RC-N1 from now on.
Fine test but I do notice two things that I don't have with my RC N1 and Ipad mini 5. I see dropouts and the screen recording of the image is definitely in way too low resolution while that was so nice at 1080p with the RC N1, really incomprehensible why DJI did this. For me really a reason not to purchase a DJI RC.
The dropouts are down to OS switching between 2.4 and 5.8 GHz due to interference. Recovers well though. I get it often when flying FPV near cellphone towers but just increase power output to 1mW. Not sure if you can apply the same hack to VTX on Mavics.
I have been having the same signal drop outs with the RC Pro remote paired with the Mini 3 Pro along with interference warnings. Disappointing especially as the RC Pro is supposed to be high end. Prior to getting the RC Pro I was using my old Mini 2's RCN1 remote and Tripltek 8 with the Mini 3 (which I bought on its own) and it is rock solid in terms of signal strength. I bought the RC Pro to use with the Mavic 3 that I intend to buy soon and was happy that it was made compatible with the Mini 3 Pro but to be honest it is next to useless compared with the RCN1... Anyway pretty sure that it can be fixed with a firmware update, I just hope DJI don't hang about getting it sorted. Good video, different situation but same problem as me 👍
@Panotaker Yep this was a year ago, since the subsequent updates my RC Pro doesn't miss a beat, and works perfectly. If I were to nit pick I would say that I am disappointed with the lack (so far) of Occusync 4 support with the RCPro...
@@MarkHalligan If I where to nit pick the RC Pro, is that it should come with a built in microphone, so you don't have to add one, and for the price, it should come with maps built in, so you don't have to link it to a phone. If Garmin can have built in maps, I don't see why DJI cant have built in maps, or at lest let you install a bigger portion of maps instead of little tiny chunks at a time.

Good test. RC N1 is rock solid on all drones. Hoping they fix this problem
Purchased a secondhand RC on eBay for £150. BRILLIANT PRODUCT and goes perfectly with my Air 2S.

I have an RC Pro with the latest updates and with my A2S, I never have any drop outs, plus it records the screen at 1080P.
