Riding with Sebastien Legrelle on his 600rr.
Decent laps with worn tyres .. worn = more sliding fun :-)
Sebastien opens it up after 7 minutes and i have to let him go towards the end. Rider and tyres were struggling :-)
Cut it off at 9.59 coz off TH-cam limitation, 3 corners further we were coming up into heavy traffic anyway, he went by faster and he was gone.
I never get tired of watching your videos.
Nice ride man congrats!
Very good man-machine co-operation, great pilot,big mean machine !
Very nice video as usual Shrike. Enjoyed every minute of it.
It's a 600rr indeed. Top pilot Sebastien Legrelle.
Former World Superstock and Supersport rider.
Fantastic video! Cheers from Australia
If you watch his other videos like the Sprint races on Zolder you can see he drives much more focussed. In this video (as you can read in the discription) he is riding with worn slicks and is just playing around. Also, with tight corners you want to skid it in, to get a fast exit out of the corner. The reason for my comment was that i see people commenting on his videos with all kinds of "advice" wich most of the time dont make any sense.
Wow that RR guy is really fast... Nice Vid man.
But as you fly by @Kemmel the difference between 600cc and 1000cc is amazing... Never really saw that before, all my guys are going 1000cc, too. RN22 is the best bike ever built in my opinion... I love it.
this is one awsome video love it every second of it man
Fantastische rijstijl ! Genieten.
5 stars arent enough for this!! Damn want to have those driving skills too :D
Fantastic riding, dude! How long have you been competing? I am just now starting to break some comfort levels on the track with some small sliding and breaking traction and I love watching guys like you do it all the time!
Beatiful weather, a terrific track, a wonderful bike and an expert driver. What more do you want?
BTW What camera are you using?
that was some intense riding!!! seems like that 600rr towards the end of the vid was giving you a hard time... i guess smaller bikes can be faster with a great rider. kudos on the entire vid!
Hello! Another great video!
May I ask you how do you compare this version of R1 with the previous you had? Are you happy with it?
thanks in advance
ur videos are amazing, and i love ur bike !
It's built within ONK/IDM rules. Not that much engine mods allowed.
It's got the usual mods, decent suspensions and last but not least 2D data.
Have not ridden an R6, but my K7 750 was damn good fun, and much better than my 04 CBR600RR. The R6 now tends to be more track-oriented.
that was awesome, was that ur rear sliding out?
this new R1 equals a wet dream
Fast !
Nice for learn the track
Poor rear tyre at the cornering hard reductions...
But great, great video. Congratulations.
that is one nice track! are you a pro or something? oh and when you slide into the corner how is your RPM's still at like 3000... were you holding in the clutch? cause if you werent, wouldnt the wheel lock up because the engine being too slow for the bike speed?
by the way, have you ever owned a GSXR750? or do you like to stick with the race classes of 600 and 1000cc? by decisions are between the GSXR750 and R6. and its giving me a headache!
sweet vid...600rr ftw!!!
@lecagiva my thoughts exactly, at sharp corners he breaks to strong and misses the corners (he doesn't take corners properly), same in Magny Cours video
God...
The R1 has a slipper clutch so you don't have to blip the throlle on downshifts.
And that sliding is to brake a little later than the rest and to impress bystanders.
MotoGP rider Garry McCoy did it even more extreme on the 500cc 2 stroke back in the days
That Sebastien's 600CBR (05-06??) has some modifications or it's a absolutely stock bike? Thank U for answering :)
@Shriky even at sharp corners:
1 look at apex
2. break (you break too late and as a result too strong)
3. lean to the corner still while breaking
4. release the break not to loose the front wheel
you do like 2.4.1.3
at magny cours sharp 180 deg turn guy passes you in that corner although you passed him first, you loose like 0.5-1 sec in such corners due to yours rear wheel wiggling
Amazing man.
what can you tell me i have to chose from 2 bikes for track r1 08 and 09 what are the diference are they big ?
which is more fun to ride the R6 or GSXR 750?
fantastic rider i see u get the power slides with this very easy lol,
modified like usual:
ohlins suspensions, full akra, bmc filter, pcV, +2 in the rear.
I'll be able to run something around 2.31 if i mount fresh tyres.
2 months ago they ran a 2.27. Werner Daemen/Arie Vos/Raymond Schouten
gewoon blijven spelen kerel. je haalde me afgelopen zondag ook nog in op spa. genot om naar te kijken!
Best track on the planet.
so what are your laptimes around Spa? This guy is fast as hell and I wonder if he needs advice likes this.
Mooi filmpje :D !!
OK, to clear this up for a few people who disagree with me.....I'm saying this is a real life recording, they say it's a video game.........Is this a video game, or, is this an actual real life recording of you riding around Spa?
Geiles Moped,Geile Strecke,Geiles Wetter..was will man mehr...
Damn ...
How often you replacing that gear box ...
@Str1000ac : I'm just having fun on these clips. That what's riding is about, having fun.
When it matters in competitive races i don't joke around. I've beaten Seb in real races (both on 1000's)
In this vid he whoops my ass while i give space and joke around .. ;-)
3:25 amazing!
which quickshifter do you use?
I don't get paid to race, so that makes me an amateur :-)
I'm holding the clutch and releasing it slowly to smooth out the slide, else it will kick you out of the saddle like a bull.
Rode an R6 once on Jerez last year, quite boring on the straights but fun to toss around through the corners. But i prefer the torque of the 1000's.
have you change your gearing?
'09 lacks top end but pulls away out of the turns. Takes a while to set up properly. I'm still trying to sharpen it up, it keeps running wide for the moment.
There is a time and a place for everything. I choose to have some fun with skidding and sliding in practice. I don't earn any money riding the bike, it only costs a lot so you better have fun while doing so :-))
On the other hand, in races i tend to get more serious and I don't fool around as much :-)
Translation: I can't believe he didn't crash. Boy were some of those rider lucky he missed them with his lack of bike control & lack of proper downshifting technique.
circuito fantastico anche in moto...
@Str1000ac You should share that info with Julian Simon from Moto2, so he can improve his style in braking zone as well! ;)
holy shit man, you gotta bring the engine rpm up to match rear wheel speed when you downshift, you're going to hurt yourself one day LOL.. just blip the throttle when you have the clutch in while you downshift. practice it on lowspeeds and get used to it.
Serious skills... can you miss some? :D
like a Boss!
:-) Het was ne zalige afsluiter v/h seizoen !
My advise was not based on the track it is general and applies to any track. What ever his lap times are I can assure you he could go faster if he was able to brake later. With his current technique he couldn't brake later as the back end of the bike would get completely out of control. If he learnt to blip (rev match) he could brake later due to minimal rear wheel skidding. I have raced at a high level professionally, this is me - /watch?v=9vlGCDX3SF8
There was ICE on the track, the rear kept sliding underneath me :-)
blip throttle + control clutch = better corner entry.
the slide at 5:45 wow
Way too many missed apex's ... you need t master that slipper clutch ! Otherwaise a good video on a fantastic circuit.
It opens the street like Moses.
Cool!
@Shriky OK, OK, sorry, but that "riding style" made me nervous and it really looked ugly, have fun OK, but you also must think about your "style", people must enjoy looking you while you ride, the same as you want your bike to look great and beautiful not just fast etc.
btw you were great in "Dijon 17-07-2010 Q1.MOV" and other videos
here is a great video you will surely like "TT... Mad, Wonderful Race!" by chandler748r, my favorite moment is kawasaki inbound 1:46 - 1:55
@MuayThaiHawaii96720 You should share that info with Julian Simon from Moto2, so he can improve his style in braking zone as well! ;)
He was taking that easy
bere filmpje, misschien tot de 15de op Mettet
I really enjoy your videos !! Fu**king great !! What tires do you ride on ?? I have this year (2011) just had my 2 first trackdays ever and it was on Spa Francorchamps and i absolutly LOVE it. Other than that i just ridden on the Nordschleife :-) witch is magic, but high risk. chek out my video from the Ring and Spa :) Thanks and regards from Norway :-)
Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro.
Old 2006 type tyre.
jak mozna tak dobrze jezdzic po zakretach i jednoczesnie nie umiec redukowac biegow ?!
TELL THAT TO MARQUEZ
nice m8
POV1 setup (580tvl bullit cam with a recorder device)
@MintyModF1 Real life recording.
Check evp-racing.be for more evidence :-)
You most definitely do not want to skid it in, you wan't to brake late, if the bike is skiding in then you cant brake too late or you totally lose control or highside. In fact I sore this guy get overtaken on the braking in other video's due his him not being able to brake as late due to his rear wheel locking. The other guys must be bliping throttle. Also moto gp teams spend millions on technology that reduces "skiding it in" as doing so means later braking. Slipper clutches and air bleed etc..
POV1 camera setup
What I would give to ride at Spa....
Wat gaat dat toch allejezus hard..
Never :)
But it helps i only run this track once a year. Too many hairpins. :)
ma jongens toch !! wie zegt dat da fake is ?, ITS REAL
nog vet gereden ook ;)
Yup, supermotard style :-)
@quniok Slipper clutch.
AXAXAXAX
like vale 46 style
copletely norely!!!!
You kidding me? Marquez's bike has like £100,000 worth of shit on it to make it stop locking the rear wheel! It has an auto throttle bliper! Listen to a Honda RC213V down shift "BRUMMMM, BRUMMM, BRUMMMMMM" if it didn't have that he would be totally sideways into a corner and it would mess him up! Locking the rear wheel IS NOT something you want to happen!!!! Hence £$£$£$£$£$ spent on technology to make it stop!
@ 7:37 min....unexpected
