If you do start watching K dramas when you go back to the US or elsewhere, setting your VPN to the US may be the best bet because a lot of K dramas on Korean Netflix doesn’t have subtitles, but the US one does. Just FYI

You'll have so much fun! Hopefully they get rid of that requirement, but if not, I recommend staying extra careful in the days leading up to your trip! Otherwise, the testing is not so bad, and it makes us feel very safe.

Hays pronounced Gamsahamnida so perfectly and it sounds sweatest. It's lovely to see Hays running around all over Nami island so energetically.😍 Guess the parents also have to be enjoying the marathons.😆 He's truly a nature loving child with an extra extra😅 energy.

Haha oh my gosh, thank you Steph and Pete for the lovely shout-out!! 😚🥰I was smiling from ear to ear watching this video, the editing and choice of music is always so fantastic. So happy you enjoyed the island! Tbf, Naminara can be a bit tricky to classify and sometimes turns off people (since it's both a theme park and just a regular park, lol), but I think it's basically like a microcosm of Korea's nature scenes and leisure-type activities 😂The music they were playing probably was from Winter Sonata (2002), which was one of the first Kdramas to break out and have a cult-like following across Asia (esp. Japan, they call the main actor "Yonsama", with -sama being the highest form of honor)😆
I'm sure many others will provide great Kdrama suggestions, but I'd start with the ones that are already on Netflix (since they come with Eng subs). Wouldn't recommend Squid game for Hays since wayyy too violent (but it's been truly an international sensation - most viewed Netflix drama, ever), but something like Crash Landing on You (which is about this rich daughter of a South Korean conglomerate accidentally crash landing on a North Korean soldier while paragliding and falling in love) or Extraordinary Attorney Woo (an autistic attorney obsessed with dolphins) might be light-hearted and wholesome enough for the whole gang to watch.

Winter Sonata is the Kdrama that launched the 1st K-culture boom in Japan. It's a bit dated now though, so I'd recommend more recent fair like Itaewon Class or the popular Squid Games.
I started Itaewon class! But these days I spend all my time editing. One day, I will certainly binge all the K-dramas!

Winter Sonata was probably one of THE most famous Kdrama ever made and I believe it was made back in 2002. A famous/popular scene took place on Nami Island and that's why they are playing the original soundtrack on the island. Winter Sonata single handedly sparked this Korean Wave phenomenon throughout the world, especially in Japan.

For me your channel is far better than Englishman channel :) Nami Island is such a magical private island. Wow i love Hays School and they look after your child for you. each person cost only $45 USD best value for money. 20:15 We have squeeze on mini tomato sauce in New Zealand which we use it for eating fish and chips or pie. Today's highlight was Pete is on a slide haha

Winter Sonata was the show that started the Korean wave all over the world. Prior to that, K'drama was not well known outside of korea. It's an old drama from 2002 and actually my first Kdrama.
