I definitely feel the chemistry between a couple is stronger when they hate each other 1st then like each other then love each other like Pacey & Joey did. Makes the bond stronger ❤️
If Dawson did take the bed with Joey, then everyone would have accused him of being selfish and not thinking about Andie and letting her sleep on the floor.
Dawson always loved himself and that was not acceptable to Joey. She finally figured out which one of these guys was the man and which was peter pan. Smart woman.

Will was inserted into Dawson's Creek to promote the upcoming show called Young Americans, which started airing, but didn't go beyond 8 or 9 episodes. Will had nothing to do with Dawson's Creek or Pacey and Joey. So stop fooling yourself.
The other commenter is correct that Will was brought in to promote the short-lived "Young Americans" (it was terrible and was short lived for a reason, although it did have a great cast - with the exception of the guy who played Will, who has the charisma of a doorknob) but I don't know why he had to be so rude about it in his response. I don't know how much of an effect he had on the storyline at all, to be honest. If he wasn't there, they'd have just brought Jack along. Presumably Kerr Smith was off working on a movie or something around this time as he's absent/barely there for a few episodes in a row.
I feel like realistically, the two girls would have been offered the bed, especially since two of the people on the floor would have wanted to prevent the bed pairing we got. I have no complaints, though. 😏
different teenagers with different problems ... weakness and strenght dealing it ...i prefer to see these teen agers deal them .fall in love, schools studies parent child relationships .. seeing them solving each is amazing .. this happen in real life ... best actors is pacey ... i find him intelligent sexy voice he has the angs of delivering his dialogues ...im in love with this guy truly amazing ..

That aspect of the show aged extremely poorly and wasn’t a good look at the time either. They handled the Pacey/teacher thing horribly.
