The chevelle can get way more horsepower then the el camino though its like 800hp to 1000hp the el camino would lose by far.

The impala uses the old LT-1 350ci v-8 found in the C4 Corvette but I believe it is detuned slightly to not be able to beat the vette

The only reason why the Impala as didn't want to let loose, was that it has a limited slip diff.

In reality the Vic was popular not only price wise but it was durable and had a fairly decent survival rate in collisions. It was a really nice fleet vehicle.
The vic wasn’t given the same chance as the impala.
The impala has its revs held pretty high for the launch, the vic was held fairly low in the Rev range, causing it to bog down on launch where the impala didn’t.

If you dont know this, putting wide tires on the front creates more drag and slows the car down, so please stop doing it

Definitely not accurate. I own a cvpi and it will not due 70 in 1st lol might do 40 at 6500 rpm
Stock at redline it did like 45. The built motor revs higher therefore the first gear shift mph will be higher
stock he said it did 55 in 1st.
i had a 2010 CVPI (i modded the intake, put an catback exhaust on it, Bravex ignition system, had the 3.27 final drive) and in all my 0-60 tests it would always hold 1st until about 50-55 which id say is accurate. my fastest recorded 0-60 with it was 7.2 sec (same as a stock mercury marauder!) and obviously gearing makes a big difference. some came with a 3.73 final drive and some with a 3.55 which both effect how long your car holds onto gears.

they both have v8s so that is why they sound so mean
April Kump well ones a 4.6 v8 and once’s an lt1 from a corvette. That 4.6 is going to have that deeper tone but the corvette motor can rev higher with more amounts of torque so it’s going to be a little more high pitched

Yea no,in real life that impala is would whoop that crownvic ass. That ss is a LTU v8 with a supercharger. The only reason the crownvic goes around the corner is because its drivetrain is built like a f150,so it allows more controll around corners.

@@sunday7224 I don't know, the 5.0 makes more horsepower than the Chevy 6.2 and 5.7 hemi. The modular engine has done the 1/4 mile in 5.88 sec @ 240 mph, substantially faster than the ls or hemi. Even back in the 60's the 427 sohc trumped anything chevy or dodge made by over 100 hp, that's including the 426 hemi.
