    Just made my first pair. Used regular round seed beads. Came out adorable.

    Glad i found this video. I just got yhe brick stitch down and now ill try this. I watched you peyote video but im a little nervous about trying that stitch

      I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. You should definitely try peyote stitch. It was one of the first stitches I learned, and I think it's easier than brick stitch. Happy Beading.

    I love these earrings. I made my bottom with nylon thread so my fringe isn't stiff. When their stiff they don't look good.

    I've made 6 pairs of fringe brick stitched earrings from your fab book. Love them so very much & this will make a good change. I'm curious tho, why Snails & Fairy Dust.

      Thank you so much! The name Snails and Fairy dust was inspired by my eldest daughter when she was small. I wanted the name to capture the way children look at small things with an open mind full of wonder. She used to love snails and building fairy houses. 🥰

    Anyone know the colour name or # of the beads. I am so sick of my bead colours! Anyone else feel like that at times.? The blue with the metallic looks great, not too Valentinesy, 😅

      I don’t know them off the top of my head but there’s a link to a free pattern below the video which also has the color names and numbers of the beads.

    I've just learnt square stitch but the issue is i dont know how to read the square pattern. I wanna make stuff to sell but first need to learn how to read it. Please help

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, on my free pattern, you just follow the rows starting with number 1 and work in the direction the arrow points. I have actually purchased anyone else's pattern so I'm not sure if that is how other people's patterns work.

  • @clarice7843

    Why do you use 2 types of threads?

    • @bluesky4034
      @bluesky4034 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The fringe should be soft and flowy.. using Fireline on fringe makes it too stiff. Trust me, I learned the hard way

    • @clarice7843
      @clarice7843 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      got it! but cant you just use miyuki or KO thread for the body too? or it makes the base flimsy too? 😅

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You want the top part to be stiffer so it holds the shape of the earring better - thats why I reccomend fireline for the body.
