OMG! At least you are ok that is the main thing. But this Chimp would be furious at this! Sick people making booby traps like that what is their objective? 😡
Yes mad, long walk and slippery in spd cleats, made for a fun long walk… first time in over 35 years of cycling don’t take a tube and this happens… was a nice morning adventure though… lol Cheers chimp :)
This can happen but its very rare, like most major tyre incidents. I've put a piece of aluminium through the tyre, but it sealed. It had to remove it later, every revolution I could hear this noise, as it hit the inside of the rim. But, thats it in years of riding some crazy wooded off piste "Non trails". never seen anything as long as your cane though, that's nutz. I haven't carried a tube in 6 years
😂lol, I will be carrying a tube from now on, in all my years of cycling never had anything this big puncher … just unlucky, but has made me realise what I need to take with me if I use it for my bikepacking trip in wales. Just p’ed off I need a new tyre and rim tape and that rim liner, and I have a big dent in me rim that I can hammer flat I hope :)
I carry a Revoloop Fat inner tube, it's takes up far less space than a regular tube jn your bag. Although 🤞 I've had it years and not needed it yet I still carry it - it must have done 1000's of miles now 😂
Yes I always take a tube on me normal mtb, guess I thought them massive fat tyres were indestructible… lol Is that tube you mention small? And for fat bikes?
Oh man, Dunk, walking 7 Miles in these shoes!!! Well done 👍
😂I know, I was slipping about on me cleats on the footpath, good job I had a bike to hold onto… lol
So…always carry and inner tube, a battery pack and cable for that phone! Feck me that was a disaster 😮
Haaa ha ha, the first time in all my years of cycling I did not take a tube! Was a great morning, good job I like riding and walking 😅

Aaaaw man no way :(
@@dunkwilsable oh yeah 😂 and I had the same as you but with a surly Pugsley and a massive stick that went through the rim tape on my Rabbit Holes ! 😱
@@leehadlington4498 geeez, I’m ready for it next time, gaffa tape, tube and bigger pump… bring on the disaster… lol

@@dunkwilsable yes, expensive at around £24 but far lighter than a regular rubber tube and less than half the volume.
@@skinheadjcnice one cheers, will look that up… think it’s a need now!
