As an American the things I look for in a home are easy to maintain a garage and at least one one extra room for my parents or guest. If my money gets me a house with a pool plus what I'm looking for, that's a bonus. P.S yes a bathroom is important too I've never thought how many want in one home I guess 3 in a half one in the main one for everyone else and one downstairs
