I like the enthusiasm Olie always brings to the videos, especially in this type of exhibition bikes..... I think the Aston Martin bicycle box alone is worth my entire bicycle.
I like the Lotus integrated grime collector. It's going to be fun to clean out the inside of the frame and the motor after a ride in the wet. In the wet the motor will be water cooled!
its a 25k€ limited e-bike.. The buyers will use it maybe once for a good weather ride along the river and then it will be kept in the start-up office as a trophy of wealth. So it doesn't really matter. Also why hide a battery in a bottle, if you show the motor anyway?
The attention to detail on the AM/JL bike is incredible. The badging is exquisite. Would need two, one to admire and one to actually use every opportunity possible.
2 bucket washing and rinsing system. 1 bucket with clean warm water and a second bucket for rinsing the brushes and cloths and mitts in. Also, pre wash the drive train. Used a regular garden hose to wash everything off👌👌
@Nonkel_Jef you don't ride 20 thousand dollar bikes through the rain. Luckily, at that price, it prices out all the low iq people who would do just that.
Totally agree. Looks pretty but is fairly useless in reality as once you get to 25kph your mates will sail off into the distance on anything other than a steep hill.
The Aston Martin/Laverack bike is probably the first super luxury bike you've covered which I actually wouldn't mind having. I don't think I could bring myself to ride it, though... Still...a standard Laverack is my dream gravel bike.
Ollie is a character and I i guess I i have a soft spot for him because our youngest, who is probably around Ollie B's age, is also named Ollie. I enjoy Ollie's enthusiasm for the automotive-linked superbikes. Two corrections on the report: Emerson Fittipaldi win his first world championship driving a Lotus Type 72 and the United States will be using the Canyon track bike in Paris.
Did i understand correctly that the Canyon speedmax track bike will be used bij The Netherlands ? They ride Koga bikes for more then a decade> Koga developed a bike specifically for there sprinters firtst for the Olympics in Peking and they latest model for Tokyo
The down tube with the motor is still huge and it is good that it is only 300g but the battery will add most of the weight. Cooling is interesting. Whoever who called motor cheating in a normal size road bike tube in the 90s should look at modern technology in 2023 and we are on iPhone 15 and there is no smart phone back then 😅
According to BikeRadar, it will be the USA and Denmark riding the Canyon Speedmax. That mineral water must be pretty strong. Or maybe the new fitter-than-ever Ollie has also a pro cyclist’s low tolerance of alcohol.
@@roadcyclist1 I think you'll find that it does. I also think you'll find that you're completely mistaken in what you believe is your understanding. Obviously I AM saying people should be allowed to buy expensive items, i.e. bikes, and principally ME. My current bike is already pretty damned expensive thanks, as is my ultra-high end German car. Ciao.
Only an idiot would spend $25k on a bike and ride it through the mud. This is why they priced it out of your range...so people like you can't afford to do dumb things with it.
What's your favourite bit of kit from Rouleur Live 2023? 🚲
Aston Martin Laverack bike is 🔥
Definitely the Aston Martin Laverack,it must cost a fortune.💯👌🏻
All yellow Cervelo S5.
The "mineral" watersss 😊
Gotta keep hydrated.
The opening for motor cooling on the Lotus Bike is also called: The Gravel Collector. You get a sample of every terrain you ride in there. 😛
Riding the bike in the rain also voids warranty...
You would hope it has an opening at the bottom, for airflow and water (and gravel) 😅
Bold of you to assume these bikes will be ridden
@@ThomasNing It is perfectly placed behind the front wheel. A geologists dream! 🙂
Yes I agree mud water everything under the sun is going in there
Love it how Ollie just gets louder with every 'mineral water' he drinks 😂. Great presenting as always 👍
I was going to comment on this :) He really makes it exciting. Not that I have the funds, I'd rather have the Aston Martin than an Koenigsegg
So great imitation of Olie there! Totally nailed him !
Hahhaha new talent for Alec!
I like the enthusiasm Olie always brings to the videos, especially in this type of exhibition bikes..... I think the Aston Martin bicycle box alone is worth my entire bicycle.
That is one pricey bike! Amazing bit of tech though 🤯
A few mineral waters definitely helps 😂
It’s all nice and shiny, till you crash it or get it nicked from outside the local cafe.
I like the Lotus integrated grime collector. It's going to be fun to clean out the inside of the frame and the motor after a ride in the wet. In the wet the motor will be water cooled!
I was thinking the exact same thing
@@LaughingSaint66come on guys, you know it has to be sealed, I hope…
@@WarHammerWH well, since it’s a lotus, I imagine they have Nanotech that clean the bearings regularly😉😉🤓
@@WarHammerWHan air cooled motor being sealed?
I love the ventilation opening for the motor on the Lotus Type 136, less down tube to get dirty from road spray.
Genius design 💡
@@gcntech Genius? How will that motor work once all the road spray, grime and dirt get in there? I think the opening is a mistake.

@@dakallaGood point. People are always complaining about things they will never be able to afford.
Come on! They need to be able to sell an accessory duct extension. Add ons is where the real profit margins are, after all!
The attention to detail on the AM/JL bike is incredible. The badging is exquisite. Would need two, one to admire and one to actually use every opportunity possible.
Love the 'John Player Special' colours/ livery on the Lotus......
As Italian I loved the 'Verde Bianco Rosso' Thank you Ollie, you're the best!
You don't need to be Italian to love that one😍
My favorite part of each and every GCN "Bike Bling" coverage vid is always-and, without a doubt-Ollie. He is an absolute gem.
Could you imagine the scratches on that Carbon bike box after the flight to Majorca on Easy jet 😂😭
I think it is unlikely that the AM bike owner will fly with Easyjet
2 bucket washing and rinsing system. 1 bucket with clean warm water and a second bucket for rinsing the brushes and cloths and mitts in. Also, pre wash the drive train. Used a regular garden hose to wash everything off👌👌
Gotta love Ollie and his enthusiasm. 👍
That gold Speedmax 😍
Not normally that interested in car brand colabs but that Aston is v nice.
That lotus type 136 motor is very interesting , 200w for 6h. Its very stealthy and could be awesome for commuting !
So would a 700cc motor scooter for about $10k less 😅
@@raymott6933he's not talking about scooters. He's talking about bikes. Can you pedal a scooter smarty pants?
@@roadcyclist1I believe there is ones with pedals, just most not think that electric bikes are not always classed as a motorbike
Ollie your passion has no limits. Carry on.😊
Favourite thing still has to be the paint on Mad's bike. time to get in touch with Fat Creations!
I began to shop for a new bike. The journey has stopped due to sticker shock. I'll continue to ride my CAAD9 for the foreseeable future.
Nothing wrong with the CAAD9 - That's a mordern classic now 👌
hold out because the prices are really going to drop👍
Is amazing🙌
You can see how happy and excited Ollie is to be there!
I would love to see a non electric Lotus 137
same
They offer the bike with a Campagnolo group set.
Just drive it through the rain a few times
@Nonkel_Jef you don't ride 20 thousand dollar bikes through the rain. Luckily, at that price, it prices out all the low iq people who would do just that.
good machine and very useful
Congrats lotus on making the ultimate mamil bike, aero over 40kph (?), motor only works up to 25, costs heaps, looks fancy

At a bike show = Sir Ollie in heaven!
Increiblesssss 😮
I'm a simple man, I'll take any of the Cervelo S5s, TYVM
Uaoooo, Que Hermosas Bicicletas🤗
Hyperbikes aside I love the new 3Ts with fully internal cables. I have the original Race Max and I'm super jealous.
I yet to understand what makes a super bike into a hyper bike but I am like that with cars too
I take Mads P Trek bike , it is so beautiful
Does the tadej pogacar edition come with tufts of hair sticking out?
Those are some cool new tech, Ollie.
Impresionante 😲
The opening on the Lotus downtube will catch and fill up with all road dirt coming from the front wheel. This bike will never see tarmac.
5:02 I have the same feature of a flat chain stay on my pinarello graal.

Lotus Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious. True to their name but dang do they look good.
Love a mineral water. Properly hydrating

That motor cooling just wait till that get full of water 😂😂
You really think they haven't considered that in their design?
The self fist pound for the gold chain was… well… golden
The 3TTT, made in Nittaly
Excelente 👌
the Canyon Speedmax Track needs all bolts to be taped to align airflow.

Ollie should go on an Impossible Route with Tyler and Jeremiah, feels like a logical progression in his cycling development
#askGCNTech will we seem timing chips being incorporated on race bikes/time trial bikes the way we see them worked into track bikes?
Muy elegante y dinámico anatómico

Genial
The aston martin is a wicked bike made of titanium (no carbon, which is kinda nice).
Too heavy
Ollie! The Lotus 7 was given that name because it was built on an Austin 7 chasis. So where is Lotus 1?
Interesante 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The Canyon is a cross between the WRX and Lotus.
Were those "Lotus mineral waters?" Because Ollie was drunk fast.
No worries about the spoiler, Ollie...anyone who follows you on Strava knows how you did in this case, lol
Technically the 3T bike i not knitted, it is weaved. It could be interesting to see a knitted bike, or crocheted maybe.
Or "woven" as we'd say in English. 🙂
25 grand? It's not enough! I need a 100 grand bike so the blokes at the cafe **know** who's boss!
