Psychodelic colouring like neon colours causes headaches - this is not Times Square or Picadilly Circus🤣. I like how Emirates have stars in the ceiling and do sunset and sunrise mood lighting.
My first flying experience was with virgin and I loved it. This was many years ago so I’m sad to see they have become stingy with the meals. I swear when I flew many moons ago they fed me like 5 times lol 😂 every time I looked up there was a tray of food and/or snacks staring at me 🍱.
Love the A350!! But even in my job at a head office of an airline, some people don't seem to be that passionate about aircraft types. Or even understand the difference. Crazy!! Hope one day you can travel to Australia 🇦🇺😁👏

FLL Aviation JFK has horrific catering. Almost any airline’s food will be lower grade than most. I find it to be true no matter which catering company they use, though DO&CO is clearly above others in my view. A GateGourmet catering truck usually means “inedible gloop”.
I was lucky enough to fly LHR-JFK on Virgins A350 3 days ago in Upper Class. I found the plane amazing but was not a fan of the intense pink mood lighting. For some reason on approach to JFK they changed the color to a cooler blue hue and it was fantastic! Enjoyed your review!
I find Virgin food is a lot better when you depart the UK! I really enjoyed my chilli on an outbound to Miami. Return back to Heathrow in premium was a Thai pork dish which wasn’t so great.

@@sanspotter its mainly flights back to the uk are not great for food, but outbound Heathrow pre covid are much tastier as relying on other contractors; I flew AA back from Charlotte and was greeted with a yoghurt and granola for breakfast I also needed a full English !
If only Virgin had to compete with the Middle-Eastern carriers more, the food with be much more substantial. Emirates are great for economy class food. Wonder if Virgin do better on the non-Atlantic far-east routes? Anyone know?

It was “lap 5...” - basically, it’s extremely common for flights to circle in a holding pattern before landing at LHR. We went around in circles for 20 minutes before beginning our approach. 👍🏻

I used to fly Virgin LHR - SFO quite regularly in economy in their earlier days when Branson was still establishing VA and back then in the 90's they were ground breaking. These days Branson is a tax exile interfering in U.K politics (I.e. he's a "remainer"). So on that basis, along with the fact that he's just a brand now, I would never choose to fly Virgin. Also, that purple lighting would piss me right off! But do check out their ad for 25 years "Still Red Hot" IMO one of the best ads ever made. Virgin is all about marketing - and they are good at that.
We are about to take this flight on this plane on the 18th gutted as we are taking the son, daughter in law and grandchildren and I raved about Virginbut,that food is awful trash.
I just flew Virgin Atlantic Economy classic from Los Angeles to London and it was the worst experience of my life. Why on earth have the seats recline in such a titchy space? The flight was dreadful. The staff were so embarrassed by the guy in front of me literally trying to flatten his seat into my face by repeatedly heaving himself backwards that they let me sit in the crew seat at the back of the plane. I will not fly Virgin again for a long time. Horrible!!!

Hi Scott, may I be so bold...to tell you...what a vicious way to prepare a meal...inflight meal…this was??? I haven`t seen an appetizer. Main was like something which should be thrown away…(and I hate to do that…) and that light breakfast..a touch of nothing....This eco product deserves all of my wrath. My Notion of human inflight Service is completely different. But I am a Senior and I am coming from the old world..well got some new world roots , too. Personally I think BA`s eco offerings are way better. It is very important, that you how released that Video.Thank you

A small salad and a nice warm breakfast roll would have made a big difference with those meals for just a dollar or so of added cost. I fear Virgin isn’t doing too well financially.

L R G Richard Branson’s Virgin Group owns just 20% of the company, so it doesn’t matter what he thinks. Virgin Atlantic is owned mostly (49%) by Delta Airlines and Air France/KLM (31%). They think their food is better (and they’re right).
An airline dying to be up there with the greats and lets face it; it never will be one of them! Its a carrier all about image and lacks any stellar consistency.
Ive always felt the VA cabin crew were the best to fly with, they are easy to talk to and dont make you feel like they are talking to you because they want to and enjoy it, not because they are getting paid to

The Virgin Atlantic maps are mesmerizing. Actually, the windows are crazy. Taller, and no pull down shades. They digitally dim after the take-off. A huge help if you’re off the wing (sun glare).
Maybe just that route..? I flew to Hong Kong from Heathrow in May and the food was amazing both directions... (economy to Hong Kong, prem econ from Hong Kong)
I really genuinely love your reviews. I wish I could travel more, love flying but am no good in airports, my anxiety and PTSD cannot handle it. Had such a bad experience at MCO last time I flew that I don’t think I’ll be able to ever again. Yeah Virgin Atlantic’s food is beyond shocking, I have never once eaten it, I made sure to eat before and after the flights instead

The A350-1000 was inaugurated back in February 2018 by the QA! Hardly a new plane at the time of your review! As for the guy at the counter, it is but completely normal that they first check the information that they're about to relay to their customers so as to avoid any misunderstandings or other problems, for example! In my opinion, the only one making a fuss around the whole thing is you!
4:34 funny thing is it's always the people that don't give a damn that always fly on a reasly cool plane's maiden flight. So annoying! Both meals really looked boring.

The A350 looks nice but i was surprised by the food! I'd have thought Virgin would be better than that and probably similar to what Delta offers.
Precisely what I thought. Love Virgin Atlantic but the meals are subpar. Still my airline of choice but a soggy vegetable curry butters no parsnips.
In this video there was on Airbus a 330-300 a 340-600 and all operated by Virgin Atlantic from JFK to LHR.

Nice video! That meal was the exact same one I had on my 747 from JFK to MAN back in August, my review will be coming out later this month.
