Everything about the 13th and 14th episodes are just beautiful. Even the "villains" of the episode are normal people who have led tragic lives and death, it's hard not to get emotional.
Yeah I remember crying the first time, and its the most random time I cried to an anime, just the entire moment being so poetic and emotional I feel like, no need to have important characters dying or anything, just art.
it seems everyone that became a contracter or doll had immense tragedies occur in their lives or struggled to live a secure life And their renumeration has a relation to those tragedies.
You should read the fan translation of the manga. It takes place pretty much directly after the anime's end and it actually wraps up really nicely. If you forget that Season 2 takes place after the manga (Or exists at all)
The dramatic pauses at the beginning and middle are perfect and I always love coming back to this song it's the only one from the OST I've seeked out. I think enough time has passed for DTB to considered a cult-classic, and would love to see a new team explore its world. It'd be great to tell new stories using current production techniques .
Every time I am drunk I can't stop coming back here. It is too beautiful Such is life I suppose... Anyways I hope you all live the life you deserve to live. And if not... then fuck it man you are a beautiful creation and will make your own masterpiece in one way or another
Of all the versions of yin no piano ive heard, this one sounds the best in my opinion, the emotion of the scene, what yin was thinking while playing this can be visualized. It isnt too rushed or too slow and change in tempo in certain points for even greater impact. I guess this is the original but you can really feel this piece from Yin’s perspective while listening to it.
Its been 12 years since I last commented here, how much my life has changed since then. Im truly a completely different person now. Yet this song still touches my heart strings just as strongly.
Definitely reminiscent of Debussy. However, I would like to clarify that this is not claire de lune for those of you wondering. I learned claire de lune a few years ago, one of the last pieces I learned before i stopped playing when i started college. This piece inspires me in the same way claire de lune did, and I am learning it now, it'll be the first piece I've learned in over a year. Feels good to play again :)
Definitely. I watched this anime 8 years ago, and fell in love with this piece. Now, when I'm beginning to be a hardcore classical head, I immediately recognize the familiar chords of Clair de Lune, to something I know. Can't be wrong, it's this one piece that I remember.
my guess is that Yoko Kanno wanted to create something 'similar' to Claire de Lune for the arc itself; a piece by a famous composer for a young student under elite tutelage to learn. Thus Yin -no- piano.
claire de lune is one of those pieces i can't stand listening too, might just be an unpopular opinion, yet I adore this little piece here by yoko kanno. it's complex and simple one at the same time, and tells you a story that takes you to places you do not expect to go.
this piece is just so beautiful, and it's played masterfully. There really does seem to be true emotion behind each stroke. I tear up anytime I listen to it carefully.
nostalgic, so nostalgic I miss it when life was simple and when I had depression for a month after finishing dtb. Life can never go back to the way it was and this melody proves it
My entire life revolves around this show. I also remember watching this in the early 2010s sometime and just being blown away. I remember sitting in college classes just constantly thinking about this show, this song. I was obsessed. It ruined me, but at the same time it captivated me
Moonlight A girl, she sits, alone on a pitch black night. Sad, as night's dark veil descends. But lo, the moon nestles into the sky, Silvery and full, banishing the dark from whence it came. When dawn breaks, the night of atonement quietly departs.
This song sounds so sad yet beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. This is probably my favorite song to play on the piano EVER. I love it (:
every time i play this song, i reminds me of all the sad things in my life. when i was 8 my brother had cancer, and my close friend died. and now my brother has cancer, again. i cant imagine how horrible it must be to live in a world like that. even though its not real, it still makes me cry. this song is amazing. i wish there was a love button.
You could try Requiem for a Phantom. Not exactly the same but have a similar vibe. Phantom is based a tad bit more in reality but I fully recommend especially if you liked Darker than Black.
Yep, but it took me 2 months to really play instinctively. Slow it down it, get comfortable at playing at that tempo and slightly increase it towards to the original tempo. Sometimes I'll play it faster than the original tempo then come back to the original tempo. The original tempo should feel easier in comparison.
Yeah. She was blind before she became a doll. In one episode she says to her piano teacher something (when she was younger so in her memories) about the moonlight and that she cant see but can feel it or something
@KevinVang1000 Minimalism is a subcategory in classical music that started in the late 20th century. Minimalism refers to music that is based on repetition, often has a driving repetitive rhythms, very little development, simple harmonic structures. Simple melodies, at an extreme sometimes just notes held for very long periods of time. Composers such as Philip Glass, John Adams, and Michael Nyman are good examples of minimalist music.
How would you mistake this for the moonlight sonatas of Debussy?? Granted the arpeggios might throw a beginner off but even if you have listened to this song then you would know. They are in the same key however so maybe that was what you heard.
The first thing I thought was "this has to be Debussy!..." The styles are so similar and I was reminded of the Claire De Lune too. Very pleasant surprise to hear this was an original composition for the show. :) And Jman036, how could you mistake Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for Debussy??? You should know better, shame on you... ;)
Blind people can feels things that we can't see. When you can't use your eyes, you rely on other senses, and these senses are sharpened with time. Sometime we can feel presence of others without seeing or hearing them, like when you're doing something and you feel someone watching you. That "ability" is stronger among people born blind, etc.
Honestly the only reason I watched season 2 was to see what would happen to Yin and Hei after watching the Gaiden, which turned out to be a huge disappointment since S2 was mainly about Suo. Hopefully if theres a season 3 or even a short OVA it will show Yin again :)
I don't think so that we really need to have S3 to honest. Just we need to realize the end. *SPOILER* _Hei saved Yin. Suo was just an empty copy and her memories would disappear after some time - it's better for her to be a real human. Mao is alive. It's not in the official soundtrack for the show, so if anyone could help me out that'd be SUPER RAD!!!
