My name is Esme and this is me so I guess my channel is 'This Esme'.
I make videos about all things horsey such as Vlogs with the ponies, horse care videos and edits of me riding to help other equestrians learn more about these beautiful animals as you never stop learning with horses. :)

Tracy Rufenia Ahearne I personally think they're invasive and unnecessary. And its always good to try things with your horse to see what they prefer
Well my opinion you should first try your horse with a bitless option not a hack they are too harsh just a little pressure and certain dr cooks take too long to release the pressure when you pull on the reins they don’t automatically loosen. I mean if your horse is really that bad with reacting to bitless. Then get the softest rubber bit the metal is totally unnessiary. I mean bits were mad to make a horse listen in pain in the begging that’s how they got in the world and that’s still the background of why they are here today, people just can’t change the way they got in this world.
Bit less bridles still cause pain, as the main part they feel pain is their nose
And bits can damage a horses teeth, gums, restrict proper swallowing. And seem to get more abusive quick. Then I hope you catch your horse with a bit and lead with a bit and do all your ground work with bit.

caldergrace i think its a 20 by 40ft arena and they can cost from £7000 or more. i have a similar arena

I love the signs hes giving his ears are forward and no tail flicking. That's a comfortable horse and that's rare to see in jumping these days.

Em omg it’s me again 😂😂 just wanted to say that bitless causes the same amount of pain as it is on their nose which is an area they feel most pain x

At least bitless is on the nose on the outer body of the animal and not in the mouth basicllay like mucus membrane. Would be like basically pulling raw meat.
Adopt don't shop Nosebands don’t cause pain unless they: 1. Are too heavy 2. Used to cause pain 3. Are in wrong spot 4. Too tight. Nosebands are literal leather straps to help keep the bridle in place. They don’t cause pain. Bits don’t cause pain either, but they can, and so can bitless. To be honest, I’d love to use a bridleless bit, but they can be hard to find.
