JetPens has a very detailed Jibun Techo guide article that gives a lot of information about the system, the differences between the sizes and the versions, and even translated images so you’ll be able to figure out the pages that are in Japanese. Also, FYI, the age charts are relevant in Japan because their ages are indexed to the rule of their emperors. Since most people live during multiple imperial “eras”, it’s helpful for them to have a conversion between imperial age and Western calendar age.
While I’m thinking of it, here’s a couple of little cool things that many of the vids miss. Where the hour-circles shift from dark to light is when the sun rises on that day (Japan time). Where they shift from light back to dark is the actual time of sunset. If daylight matters to your planning, it’s a neat feature. Also, if you look at the Idea notebooks, you’ll see large boxes in the 4 corners of each 2-page spread. Those boxes are used to signal Kokuyo’s mobile app. If you trace the outline of those large boxes in black ink, the app will know that you are done with that page and scan an image of it for you. If you haven’t outlined the boxes, it won’t capture an image, even if you point the camera at the page. Anyway! Enjoy the JT! I’m going to size up to the A5 slim for work next year. I’ve been using the B6 slim this year, and I’ve felt a bit cramped, so we’ll see if I like the larger notebook.
Love the Jubin for tracking my medical and health issues. The blocks when I sleep are marked with color highlights to see my sleep pattern. The emojis on the monthly I mark how I feel when I wake and the emojis at end of day I mark how I feel when I get ready for bed. This is to track my stress and mood levels. This system works for my personal things and taken me a couple of runs (years) of experience using this planner to use at full potential.
I just got that exact version in the mail last week (surprise birthday gift)! I'm so excited to start using it, and it was great to hear your suggestions on alternative uses. I'm starting a new job in December and am not sure how this might work with whatever that may demand. It's nice to see some options.
I bought the Kokuyo Systemic cover based on Miranda Plans videos, I kind of like it because the moleskin fits in the back and the idea book fits either in front pocket ( outside) or inside front pocket and it was 17 bucks on Amazon but I really want either a Chic Sparrow or the new cover from Planner Perfect both in Wide
I got the same Jibun but in the B6 size. I bought it after seeing several videos and decided to try it for work (which I don’t really need a planner for but it’s a good excuse to try a new planner😉). I was disappointed at first about the Dec start but then figured it gives me time to set it up how I want. Now that I have it mostly set up, I’m thinking about selling my Hobo weeks for another Jibun instead, probably A5. I really LOVE the Jibun biz - the setup, the color scheme, extras and the paper most of all- it’s SO smooth. Thanks for sharing!
Oh now that looks like such a great size! I may have to try this sometime. I'm itching to jump into my MD grid planner but it doesn't start until december. I suppose to others it doesn't really seem like a big deal but we planner folk get it! Loving the monochrome look of the Jibun, too!
“And then I saw a video...” AKA how all my money disappears😂😂. I ALMOST bought the biz because I like the muted colors but I went with the cheapest version on jetpens which happened to be the rainbow explosion, ha!
Iv seen someone on TH-cam put a hobo A5 Avec and this jibun A5 slim inside a foxy A5 hobonichi (is it called a true fit? I own one in A6 for my stalogy but don't know what it's called 🙈) cover together. Maybe her name was Amy graham? I really suck at the memory 😁 Iv bought a cheap one 3in 1 b6 slim AND an A6 hobo for next year too. Plus a "few" other planners 😂 I wonder which ones we will all end up using!!!

lachimiste1 You should make a video !
Very helpful video! I just ordered my first JTBiz (A5) and am excited to give it a try. I also ordered the JTLite (B6) to try as well.
This is my favorite planner. I bought the Biz and 3 in 1 and am having a really hard time deciding which one I like the best.

Pamala Hanson Great! Thanks for the ideas 💡
You are the only person to comment on paper quality! Thank you!
Elena Melling Hopefully more videos come out and we will have all the information 😂

Virginia Green Well happy birthday 🎉🎈 and congratulations on the new job 🙂

Shannon Phillips I have seen her video and want that Kokuyo Cover!

benisam03 Yes, any excuse to buy a planner 😂 I’m so glad to heard you’re excited about the Jibun! I’m using my with the Hobo Weeks!
Thank you for this vid! I just ordered my Biz A5. I too feel "restricted by lines".
You could make the collections part into a perpetual calendar

I can’t get over how they start on Mondays.. or else..I’d get this... TOO!🤦🏻♀️
Eugenia Dougherty Maybe I should move to Sunday starts and save some money 😂

Sarah Martinez I have since watched videos on the 3 and 1, and I’m thinking it’s not so bad! I just take time to warm up to thinks 😂
I love the biz. The font is much better as well. I dont like the robot font in the regular jibun. I also like the mio paper better.
judy thierry Yes, Mio paper!
Me: Ive got my system for 2019 figured out .
Also me: oohhhhh more planners!!! 😂😂
ohmyheart 😂😂🤣
I thought I was happy with my happy planner....I guess not 🤣🤣

Jade's Plans Me too! Yes, Badass Valkyrie! She’s great! It’s in a FF perfect fit Wildflower leather, very nice!
Sylvia From Wright Your Life that's the one!!! I'm glad you've seen it as it look like a pretty good option 😊
Could you see if the A5 slim will fit in the wide, I keep hearing from the FB group ( for Jibun) that it does, thank you
Shannon Phillips Checkout Sara Martinez. She has hers in a wide. I don’t have one anymore.
Excellent review. I also purchased the "Biz", and like you, am excited to use it. Thank you.
What are you planning on using it for? Planning in general or for a specific project? I’m still trying to narrow down what I want to track in it!
Is the paper super thin like the Tomoe River paper? Thanks for a great review.
No, it is very sturdy and luxuriously smooth.
[maniacal laughter] yess, YESSSSSS, ALL THE PLANNERS for 2019!!! 👊🏼
that's a fist pump emoji (or trying to be lol)
Got it! 👊
Maybe print out the "November" pages so that if you figure out that it doesn't work for you, you can sell the original? 🤔
Lisa Marie Full of great ideas, Lady 👍🏼
I cannot “cross the line”, either!
queenofbarbs We must have been the worst at Red Rover 😂
Great review
🤗👍
