- আবাসন সংকটে বিপাকে কানাডায় থাকা বাংলাদেশিসহ বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের শিক্ষার্থীরা। আকাশচুম্বি বাড়ি ভাড়া যোগাতে হিমশিম খাচ্ছেন অনেকে। বাড়ি ভাড়া না পেয়ে, তাবু টাঙিয়ে রাস্তা কিংবা পার্কে থাকার মতো ঘটনাও ঘটছে অনেক জায়গায়। এরমধ্যে যোগ হয়েছে কাজের অভাব। আর আপাতত আবাসন সংকটের সমাধান সম্ভব নয় বলছে কানাডা সরকার।

কেন এখানে পড়তে আসে? এদের উদ্দেশ্য একটাই এদেশে থেকে যাওয়া। পড়াশোনা আসল উদ্দেশ্য নয়। যারা যথেষ্ট টাকা নিয়ে আসতে পারে না তাদের ফিরে যাওয়া উচিৎ। কষ্ট করার কোন যুক্তি নেই। বাড়ি ওয়ালা সব সাইলক হয়ে গেছে।

লন্ডনের অবস্থা আরও ভয়াবহ । তিন বেডরুমের এক ফ্ল্যাটে ৩০ জন বসবাস করছেন। ৩০ জনের জন্য একটি টয়লেট । ২৫ লাখ টাকা খরচ করে এসে, না একটা ভাল চাকরি পাচ্ছেন, না একটা ভাল থাকার জায়গায় পাচ্ছেন, না ভাল খাবার খেতে পাচ্ছেন।

রিপোর্টার ভাই আপনাদের কাছে একটা বিশেষ আবেদন আপনারা আল্লাহর ওয়াস্তে বিদেশে কি হয়েছে না হয়েছে তা নিয়ে খবর প্রচার করা বন্ধ করুন। বাংলাদেশের লাখ লাখ বেকার বসে আছে। আমাদের দেশের লাখ লাখ বেকার মানুষ নিয়ে রিপোর্ট করুন মানুষ মানুষ উপকৃত হবে। মানুষ শখ করে বিদেশে যায় না বিদেশে চাকরি আছে নাগরিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা আছে তাই মানুষ বিদেশে যায়।
মাত্র ৫/৬ মাস আগেই শুনলাম কানাডা নাকি ১০ লাখ লোক নিবে, আর ৫/৬ মাস যেতে না যেতেই এই অবস্থা?
শিক্ষার্থীরা মিথ্যে কাগজ দিয়ে পড়ালেখা করতে যায়। বাবার কোটি কোটি টাকা আছে বলে মিথ্যে কাগজ দিয়ে থাকে তখন এম্বাসী ভিষা দিয়ে দেয়। তো বাবার যখন এতো টাকা তখন ওখানে রাস্তায় বা তাবুতে থাকার দরকারকি।
