You saved me on chemistry, now you're saving me on calculus, thank you!!!
Thank you so much for not skipping steps. You're a sanity hero.
Idk what you mean, there are quite a few things I didn't get. like u cubed. Where did that come from? The bad thing about catching up on math is that on top of keeping up with new information, you have to remember every minute detail of what you've learned in the past or be destined to be hopelessly lost
Edit: Which isn't the case in nearly any other subject. Even with science, concepts that don't strictly rely on math are more malleable than this.
@Capri Ok, thanks
I love you Genevieve. I'll always love you.face-purple-crying
@@mogethecurator3232 it very much is the case in most sciences though. In chemistry for example it all builds up. It helps to just review your basic math even when you're doing 'higher' math. Good luck!
I am from Lesotho and studying ENGINEERING i would like to say thank you very much with your videos they really help a lot, I do not even waste my time/bother by opening text book i just come straight to your videos thank you!
I also study Engineering! This man is a help to all of us who do engineering. God bless him.
I need to say if you aren't trying the examples before he shows you, you are missing out. My math got so much better after I started to do that with this guys vids.
calc and engineering are really kicking my ass but you help so much with these videos. thank you
I’m here as finals coming in the next weeks. Thank you so much for precious explanations. It is better than university teacher’s 2 hour lectures.
Thank you so much. My college professor at mf Baylor University is total ass and can't explain this. This is actually so simple smh. You are actually the best teacher. I learn all of my math and science subjects from you instead of an allegedly prestigious university.
Wow should I reconsider college

Dude I go to harvard and I legit watch these videos before I go to office hours. I mostly just end up finding other questions to get help on because this guy answers my questions for me! He is an angel
Well seth funny seeing you here
You're ltrly a life saver tysm ❤i was confused on how to change the limits while using substitution but now its cystal clear ❤❤
last high school final today thanks for all the help throughout my four years of high school
these videos helped me before but this one is just golden. thank you sm my guy
I wish you was my teacher, within 1 minute you had me squared away ❤❤❤❤
How do you know when to use u substitution vs integration by parts? When I saw the first example, I thought of by parts but he used U substitution instead. So how do we know when?
I am very glad that I find out the professor Wilson lectures for my math helping.
Thank you so much professor Wilson.

You're such an amazing teacher ❤
I'm in love with your videos😍🔥
Man you’re so helpful
You make this look so easy 😢
Imma keep practicing though
thank you for this video, gigachad
I'm confused when I used the formula here got results different from the mathway calculator results. I don't know which lne is tru but I definitely followed this one here when I was solving
God bless you, my brother!
Hey sir 🤭 Guess wah? You just got it!! ❤
I get it right up until 8:39
Hey, thanks for uploading this video! I have a qn. At 1:51 , how come do we not substitute the du? Help me see it, please! Thanks!
@Vyasa r thank you so much! yes it has helped☺️
I'm lost at 1:58. Where did u cubed come from? There is no cubed earlier in the problem, it just seems like it comes from absolutely nowhere
youre my savior
I love this guy man
THANK YOU SO MUCH
What is the difference between integration by parts with this U- Substitution Rule
Amazing thank you!
I love you thanks for the clarification
But how do you know to try u substitution? We need to know what the clue is..no?
Also this video does not have any audio FYI. Still more informative than the prof I'm paying 😂😂
Huh? The audio is fine
great content bro ♥♥
Ur honestly a god
It's 2024 calc 1 final tmr wish me luck
You are my hero
My hero
I love you sir.
The first question you forgot plus 4
thank you
Do you have to change the bounds like you did cause I’ve never have ?
@Paul Kryder thanks I think I got it
this video saved my life
John 3 16
The answer is 29/200 not 21/200
what if the x has same degree and didnt cancel out?
Suppose that x has the same degree
1. INT 2x^2(x^2+4)^2 dx
Apply binomial expansion to (x^2+4)^2
2. INT 4x^2 sqrt(16-x^2) dx
Use the substitution x = 4sinu
3. INT 2x^2/(1+x^2)^3 dx
Use the substitution x = tanu
❤
thankkkk uyyyyyyyooou
i love u r ma super maaaaaaaan
💛💛💛💛💛💛
you cannot combine variables. very wrong
What?? I'm confused, I tried everything on a calculator and the results were the same. Can you elaborate?
@@-An_Idiot- you get the same answer, yes, but the part where he wrote the variables u and x together in one integral shouldn’t be done. mathematically incorrect

im gonna put a bulet in my brain what the fart is calculus at this point ?????
Atp, just a reason for CS to be classified as STEM 💀
ez.
Please say evaluate, not evaloooate. You say "value" correctly. It's just e-value-ate.
When you're drawing, speaking, and thinking about what you're going to say next all at the same time, things happen. Some words just don't come out right.
@@TheOrganicChemistryTutor Never mind the pronunciation police.
does he not know what a calculator is jesus
LOL, spoken like a MAT150 dropout. The entire purpose is to practice and understand the concepts , so we use numbers where calculators aren't necessary. Use your brain. If you can't do this without a calculator, you don't understand what's going on.
Uncomfortable Truth lmao who hurt you
@@llavediez739 Why you even here if you wanna use a calculator?
@@arki3134 because I’m bad at math😂

your calc homework will NOT be this easy using the same concept. you'll see.
@@ultimatekenzstill works great as an introduction to the topic, don’t be so cocky
@@ultimatekenzok, but the concept applies to most applications even as they get more complicated. my calc professor couldn’t teach this lesson even close to as clearly as he does. cocky little calculus baby you are huh 😂
@@deserttan37 at the time, i was just really frustrated with homework way out of depth with what was being taught. It was this but on crack, hence my deeply depressed sass lol.

Thank you sir, it is a life saving channel for millions of students like me
Great explanation, although I thought your lower limit could not be a bigger number than the higher limit. Shouldn't we multiply the whole integral by -1 so we can switch them up?
Yes we should
The 2nd one right? The comments always save me when I think I might have done something wrong 😊
Is it the same answer either way? I just wanna confirm that

How’s engineering rn bro

I feel like an idiot. I remembered the adjusting values but I didn’t pay enough attention to remember to leave u. I just would but u back in and use the original values lol
You can substitute back your x’x in place of uus and leave the limits unchanged.
9.10 u should be 1+x^2 but it seems you missed 1
you stayyyyyy saving my life and helping me understand calc. thank you thank you thank you!

Great video. Keep it up bro.
I love you so much the organic chemistry tutor
The only thing I don't get is what if it can't be simplified?
thats the answer then
So I think it works with a simple set of "steps" to follow from what I could gather.
1. Use U substitution to simplify, along with finding the derivative of u.
2. Get rid of all remaining x-terms.
3. Find the lower and then upper bounds of the function.
4. Integrate u along those bounds by using part 2 of calculus.
5. Solve and you should have an answer?
Thank you so much. really appreciated
you're an American Ninja! I'll read a book wrote by yourself one day.
For literally any topic I am confused about, you have the best youtube video on, thank you so much!!!!!!!
Me watching his videos hours before my test because I know he's gonna save my life😂
I like that you always do the factoring or the changing of denominators in your head rather than on calculator because it makes it so I don't get confused on something that seems very obvious.
i deadass thought the uu att the beginning was a cause I was watching the vid with no sound until I watched it again for the second time and heard him say u
When can i use it,how do i know that i have to use it in specific problems?
Why is it that when you plug in the lower limit for the integral with respect to dx (that being 0) it becomes the lower limit with respect to du, instead of it being the upper limit with respect to du (since 16 is greater then 0) - question to do with the worked example @3.37
Antasar Suleman when you swap limits in substitution, you just plug in the values and replace limits. Here it is from 0 to 4 so when x = 0 , u=16 and when x= 4, u= 0 ( from u = 16-x^2) and hence the integral which was from 0 to 4 in terms of x is now from 16 to 0 in terms of u . If you want it to he from 0 to 16 just put a negative sign outside and you can swap the limits
EVALUUUUATE
You know what I adore you even the word adore doesn't even begin the way I adore you right now
This makes so much more sense now, thank you ❤
Why need to change integration power anyone can tell??
How did the algorithm know that I have a test on this in 2 days
You're my go to math/science youtube
Excellent video as always
bruh why ur "U" look like an M?
for the question at 5:44 is there not another negative sign added to the front of the equation since its from the bigger number to the smaller number?
exactly, that’s what i thought!
I actually prayed for you tonight. Thanks man. Your videos are very easy to understand. If I were to advise one thing, it would be to have a more in-the-weeds Playlist. I get that most professors want you to just know the covered material. However, others want you to be at THEIR level doing problems 50x harder than the examples shown. Although I'm guessing there's a patreon. Does it cover the hardest examples? Thank you and God bless.
If there isn't something to simplify the fraction, what should I do?
Put it outside the integral
i love u man finally i got it
My math teacher doesn't teach and just read textbooks... I've been watching so many of your videos and they all help me greatly!
