Hello, I'm really grateful for this series! Could you share some insight into your personal journey transitioning from programming to design? Specifically, what prompted you to shift from game programming to design?
I just like it more! I wanted to be closer to the player and thinking about how the player engages with the game. Engineers are more responsible for thinking enabling designers, which I also found fun, but not as fun.
If I am moving from a QA position (with no technical background) to Design what kind of questions does it make sense for them to ask from my experience as QA with which they might bring Parallels to Game Design so that I could apply them when I get a job as a game designer later on.
If they are behavioral questions like I cover in this video it doesn't matter whether they are design related or not. These questions are designed to expose your personality, not your design skills.

We need to expert in coding or beginning level is enough for game designing
The coding bar is lower for design but you should still be able to solve basic programming problems
