Your teaching style is clear and precise, and you make it so easy to understand. I will be looking forward to your new videos when they come out.
I did learn a couple of things. My high school English teacher told us that she was not happy that they had made her teach. She had been the librarian. She wasn’t in it if you understand what I mean. I have wanted to understand English since learning Spanish. Thank you for your easy to understand help.

Dear Ms Sparkle, this helped me so much. I am trying to improve my English writting, and I am not a native English speaker. We weren't taught about commas in school yet, but I really needed to know how to use it. Thank you for easy explanation and clear speaking.
I needed help with Rule #5; even though, I completed English at all four levels at University. This punctuation rule aggravated my writing because I missed it in High School. Thank you for the video. Your presentation is crisp and clear. cr
Thank you so much for this video 🙏 I just couldn't find any other info on the internet that explained the clauses as well as you did in this video. What a great lesson on how to use commas! Very easy to understand.
I couldn't find a basic grammar video anywhere else online. You do a great job of explaining the comma rules. I needed a refresher like this and your voice is pleasant to listen to. Thank you!
Such a great teacher you are😊, You give me confidence to try the transcription test on the platforms you suggested, it has been so long in writing English which is not my first language, but I love it, and I just like to polish my writing skills and be confident again after a long period of being numb due to depression, it is interesting to motivate myself through your lessons 😊.
I'm still having issues with understanding the use of commas with an independent clause + dependent clause, but this helped clarify things more. Thanks!
Thank you for your video! It really helped me to prepare for my HESI entrance exam for nursing school. All 8 points were a great refresher and each point was very informative with complete explanations. Thank you for all your examples too, they were all very helpful.
The series of videos about the punctuation marks, especially the use of commas, are very informative and easy to learn. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
As a teacher of children and adults, I found this very easy. However, I’d have loved my students to watch this whole series as it’s often a better understanding. I can use and explain punctuation, but we weren’t taught why or when we needed punctuation as a child. I’d get my students to read another person’s paragraph out loud. They’d realise when a pause was required to make it easier for another person to analyse. In Tasmania, Australia, our spelling is different , based on English grammar and spelling. That spelling can certainly make a difference ie ‘favourite’,rather than ‘favorite’ would jump out to me as wrong! At times we focus on the spelling more than the punctuation. Good lessons thank you, great examples as well! I wish I’d seen these videos 60 years ago! 🙏

Thank you for this video. I was really struggling with using punctuations a few weeks ago and i began to read my high school English books and it really helped me improve my use of punctuations. This video is also helpful and very informative. Right now, I'm working on improving my use of semicolons and colons along with the other punctuations like em and en dashes. There's one thing that you haven't really covered with the use of commas but similar to addressing someone. It's calling out with their name. Example would be: John, where are you?..A few weeks ago I was also struggling to place certain punctuations on sentences. One example is: Hey, thanks for the donuts, pal. I didn't know at first that there should be a comma before the word pal but then I realized that I need to. Thanks again for your videos. I'll be watching your other videos as well.
Just like to say thank you for the detailed explanation. The simplicity of your explanation made the video easy to comprehend. I am currently a mature student who is building his english founations back up, so I needed to go back to go forward. Keep up the good work and we do appreciate what you have done.
Marvelously concise and thorough! This tutorial was easy to follow and delightful to hear! Thank you, Jennifer-Marie for making a video even a blind person like myself can follow along!
Even if this is my first time watching your video,I found it interesting, clear, and very useful. Therefore, I have decided to subscribe your channel in order to watch the lessons consistently.
The more punctuation I learn the more fallible my writing becomes. Thank you so much, Jennifer! Take care, everyone. I can't, for the life of me, thank you enough! Keep it up!
Hi Maria, thank you for the tutorial. My accuracy was surprisingly correct. I look forward to your next lessons you offer to aid my skills and improve my writing abilities in the future.
I did very well, thank you. All in all, the video was easy for me. The part I had the most trouble with was the FANBOYS. Fortunately, I got all of the practice sentences correct. The most difficult things when I learn English are vocab and grammar. Thank you for your good work, Sparkle! Keep it up!
As a Dane who loves learning more languages and is basically fluent in English ... I've always had a tough time switching from Danish comma rules to English ones. Thank you for this!
Thank you so much. I learned a lot 💜 But I just want to ask a question right now. Is it right to put a period after a quotation mark? Like for example: I said "I want to go home," then she replied, "I don't care!". She's so rude. So that's the sentence. Is it alright to put a period after the quotation mark or it isn't needed to be there? And one last thing, it is ok to not capitalize the first letter of the quoted text? Like for example "don't cry." or it must be "Don't cry." Please help me for this. I'm a bit confused.
Hello. My take on your first question: 1. I said, "I want to go home." She replied, "I don't care!" She's so rude. or 2. I said, "I want to go home." Then she replied, "I don't care!" She's so rude. For your second question, it says we need to capitalise the first word in a sentence that is a direct quote. When quoting, the first word of a complete sentence should be capitalized, regardless of its placement within the main sentence. Example: Matthew said, “In that case, I'm going out for a walk!” Ref. www.grammarly.com/blog/capitalization-in-quotes/

Thank you very much for this helpful tutorial. I have a question about the coordinating conjunctions. When should I begin a sentence with them? Because I'm having some difficulties and I'm getting confused every time I want to put a comma or a period before them. (For transcription purposes.)
I feel love in your videos with such an impressive way of explaining because you cover everything and do not let in confusion or doubts, which helps us master what you teach us, and not make any mistakes in it anymore.
Thanks so much! I have been trying to learn commas to help my grammar. This sentence is most likely incorrect, since I’m still trying to learn how to use commas correctly. your video did help me understand commas better, but I’m still gonna try to practice. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for clarifying the eight comma rules. I’ve always been unsure at times in regards to this particular punctuation. I wrote down the comma rules so I’ll never forget.
Thank you for this video this is very informative, by the way, I’m having difficulty putting quotation marks for direct and indirect quotations..can you pls make a separate video for quotation marks (when the speaker is being interviewed or when having a speech)..thanks in advance for all your help☺️
Very good video, I will use it in my classroom. I teach oral English in China and I've noticed that most students, although they have learned English and more specifically English grammar, they don't know how to use commas and punctuation marks in general. I also would like to ask you to explain in your future videos, if possible, that we need to add one space after using any punctuation marks. Most Chinese students don't do it when they write in English.
Your voice is really beautiful, your lesson is well-organized,I will practice Your lesson a few times until I gain confidence in how to use commas properly.your pronounceation can also be my target to imitate, I found a good teacher on youtube,TH-cam is the greatest source for lots of info people need.

I have been speaking English for, I guess, 37 years now. I am well-read, and I'm told I'm articulate. Only now do I fully understand how commas work! Thank you for your clear explanation and user-friendly format. I'll be watching plenty more of your videos.
To be honest, I like languages that are phonetically consistent. Also, these videos help me a lot with my English. Very quickly though, what is the difference between a comma and a semi-colon?
Hi Jennifer :) I just wanted to say thank you for these videos! They have been the most helpful for me over any other ones I have watched. I am currently brushing up on my grammar skills while learning to transcribe, and these are so helpful to me. Thank you again!
Thank so much for doing this for the world, your knowledge is much appreciated. I learned this when I was in ESL class in my college life in the U.S. I have forgotten how to use it, but you brought my memory back. Thank you might not enough for your time and knowledge, but at least I would love you know. Have a fantastic day, year, and forever.
This lesson was particularly helpful for me. In the past, when I used "because" in the middle of a sentence, I would precede it with a comma the same way I would if the word was "but". Now I know better. Thanks. Do you have any video that spells out all the rules for using spaces when writing? I get tripped up on that point sometimes. Thanks for creating your content. I don't use this platform to watch teenagers ride dirt bikes off their barn roof in an effort to land in the back of their sister's passing pickup truck. I'm here to learn and I'm grateful that you're willing to teach!
Punctuation, has always been my weak trait in writing. Sometimes, I don't want to write because I'm not sure where and how to place my commas. This video, helped me to understand basic writing skills that will enhance my craft. Thank you for sharing.
YAY! I’ve been learning in 18 minutes how to use commas. I have a feeling; I’m going to learn more here in this channel than I had learned in the school. ❤❤❤ Thank you so much!
I loved it. I'm a writer. I hope to have less editing problems. When I was young, I just didn't get it. Your video really helped. Thank you. I will watch again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have started to write short stories, purely for pleasure, after a long absence from writing anything. I was really surprised at how much I had forgotten about basic grammar. When and where to use commas correctly has proven to be the most difficult, so your last tutorial was really helpful. I’m not sure whether the last sentence is grammatically correct. Please advise?
Thank you I have some problems with commas, I am not a child, the problem is that I am not even a Englishmen, but this video of yours has helped me a lot. Thank you one more time.
I'm glad I found your videos. Very helpful for a native speaker, who wants to brush up on his grammar rules! Thanks for your time putting them together!

But I just want to ask a question right now.
Like for example "don't cry." or it must be "Don't cry."
Please help me for this. I'm a bit confused.
Hello.
My take on your first question:
1. I said, "I want to go home." She replied, "I don't care!" She's so rude.
or
2. I said, "I want to go home." Then she replied, "I don't care!" She's so rude.
For your second question, it says we need to capitalise the first word in a sentence that is a direct quote.
When quoting, the first word of a complete sentence should be capitalized, regardless of its placement within the main sentence.
Example: Matthew said, “In that case, I'm going out for a walk!”

Hi Jenn! Not only are you pretty per se, but you’re pretty good at teaching too. I really enjoyed this particular video on punctuation. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Thank you very much for this helpful tutorial.
I have a question about the coordinating conjunctions. When should I begin a sentence with them? Because I'm having some difficulties and I'm getting confused every time I want to put a comma or a period before them. (For transcription purposes.)
I love to see all the videos, especially the ones that are about Punction, which are posted in the channel.💯💯💯
The class was easy to understand. thank you!
I feel love in your videos with such an impressive way of explaining because you cover everything and do not let in confusion or doubts, which helps us master what you teach us, and not make any mistakes in it anymore.
You are so kind! 🎉
4 years later and still giving value. Thank you!
Loved this video! Thank you for all of your hard working in making this for us!
Thanks so much! I have been trying to learn commas to help my grammar. This sentence is most likely incorrect, since I’m still trying to learn how to use commas correctly. your video did help me understand commas better, but I’m still gonna try to practice. Thanks again!
Great video that explains each and every details in,a simple and easy manner.
Thank you for your kind words. I will put that one on my to-do list! It might take me some time, but stay tuned in the near future :)
I really enjoyed this lesson. So nicely explained that we can remember well. Keep up the good work!
I just enrolled in community college after years of being out of school. This has been the best video to help me on my writting.
Thank you so much. Congratulations on enrolling in college!!
Can you cover colon and semi-colon? When to properly use them.
I love all your videos, I never pass them up.
Good idea!
Your voice is really beautiful, your lesson is well-organized,I will practice
Your lesson a few times until I gain confidence in how to use commas properly.your pronounceation can also be my target to imitate, I found a
good teacher on youtube,TH-cam is the greatest source for lots of info
people need.
Please make more such videos. They are really helpful to understand grammar. Also, congratulations! You earned a subscriber. You're doing a great job helping us with short Grammar lessons ☺️
I have been speaking English for, I guess, 37 years now. I am well-read, and I'm told I'm articulate. Only now do I fully understand how commas work!
Thank you for your clear explanation and user-friendly format. I'll be watching plenty more of your videos.
I've been struggling with punctuation for years, and I learned so much from watching this video, Thank you.
You are so welcome!
To be honest, I like languages that are phonetically consistent. Also, these videos help me a lot with my English. Very quickly though, what is the difference between a comma and a semi-colon?
Yes, there is. A semicolon is used to join 2 sentences that are related. Something like that.
Very clear explanation. Thank you.
Thank uuuuuu, I wish I could hit the like button 100 times for this awesome video.
She made it so easy to learn where to use the correct punctuation!!! thanks a lotttt
I can't thank you enough.
Hi Jennifer :) I just wanted to say thank you for these videos! They have been the most helpful for me over any other ones I have watched. I am currently brushing up on my grammar skills while learning to transcribe, and these are so helpful to me. Thank you again!
This video literally shows how stupid i am.
No because same
Don’t feel stupid you’re not alone I feel the same way.
😂😂😂
😂
Me too
This lesson is so clear . Thank you so much for sharing. The explanation is simple with good examples.
I wish I found this video a while ago.
You're very welcome! Thank you for your kind words
Excellent way of teaching.
I have been stuck with these rules before this lecture,in which I got to know many things.Thank you
This lesson was particularly helpful for me.
Thank you so much mam. I was struggling a lot while transcription, but now my doubts are cleared.
Punctuation, has always been my weak trait in writing. Sometimes, I don't want to write because I'm not sure where and how to place my commas. This video, helped me to understand basic writing skills that will enhance my craft. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this tutorial. It was quite easy and your method of teaching makes it easy for one to understand.
Finally someone taught me how to use comma. Best wishes!
YAY! I’ve been learning in 18 minutes how to use commas. I have a feeling; I’m going to learn more here in this channel than I had learned in the school. ❤❤❤ Thank you so much!
Because of your amazing instruction, I was able to answer every practice question correctly.
Thank you jeez you really helped me learning this big trouble..... ❤
I had trouble in this you mad it easier....thanks 👍🙏🎉
I love it when you politely ask " Okey?" .
Can you please correct the punctuation in above sentence.
I really like your way of teaching.
I was really tired of commas, but you really helped me. Thank you so much..... 🥰🥰
This video, according to me, has the best explanation one could get on this topic.
Luckily, I found this channel, and everything you explained was very easy and accurate. Thank you, for all you tought us without paying any fee.
