Great compilation, love it! If there's a part 2, an unorthodox one would be Wales vs. New Zealand 7s, Jaz Joyce getting smashed in the tackle and still managing to release the ball, get back up and score!
If there's a part 2.... 1. Lukhanyo Am tackle of Daly in the BI Lions series. 2. Bismark du Plessis on Dan Carter - the one he got incorrectly yellow carded for.
Some great hits in here! George Turner or Gregory Aldritt in the autumn nations cup deserves a mention and easy to forget Jason White, always massive hits, always legal and impactful as well!
I saw in part 2 there was Jason White on Maggs but personally I’d have gone for his tackles on Mortlock Paul Sackey, Murrayfield in the 6 nations and he’d just come onto the park. England were just starting to find their foothold in the game and White hit Sackey back a few metres and swung the momentum back our way. Wasn’t the biggest hit he put in but it really made a huge difference Or I remember a big hit on Phil Vickery that got us on the front foot as well. That was a great tackle, Vickery motoring at top speed and was stopped in his tracks. As impressive as the tackle was, I think Vickery recovering the ball after losing it might have been the most impressive part of that!
Quality vid. Is it just me or do referees lose the ability to officiate the ensuing ruck after a big hit? There's some absolutely hanging decisions in there, Liam Williams completely off his feet and Faf with zero attempt to ever release Earls
For the next compilation I would include Phil Vickery on Olivier Magne, plus George North/Richard Hibbard in the same passage of play against Australia in 2013.
That’s more of a try saver, I’ve deliberately not included try savers as the tackles included are those that prevent try scoring chances from developing, hence ‘momentum killing’
Those players who complain about be sent off , for tackling the opposition illegally should watch this and learn , that this is how you tackle and stay on the field
He’s quite a big lad, so why is he always being driven back in the tackle? Not to take anything away from the good tackles being made on him in this vid, but is there any lesson a new player can learn from this?
@@zephanish it looks like he goes in to “light” if you get what I mean. It’s like he goes on his toes/not fully down on his feet and he doesn’t go low so it’s easier to pick him up or move him back. Another reason is in those clips he went up against people that are well known tacklers so there is also that
@@zephanish he’s often too high in the tackle meaning that players can get underneath him and to his centre on gravity. Dombrant can have similar issues
Nathan Hughes and being driven back in international tests: name a more iconic duo
Nathan Hughes in this a few times: Always did think for a man of his size he is a soft runner
For sure. Not sure if it was the height he carried but he often looked like a 6'4 paperweight
He's definitely been a lot more effective since he moved to Bristol imo
I think it’s to do with a lack of footwork and mainly his body height in contact. He always seem to be almost upright
Runs too high
@@canadiancontent352 waaay too high.
3:10 i felt that in my stomach

I did think about including that one! Definitely will include it in a part two:)
3:11 geez the timing of that shot was superb 😂 I'm 110 kgs and im sure that lady would still have me wincing that shot was so clean.
Matthews Tait being baptized in fire in the Millennium Stadium by Henson never gets old
Gonna need a part 2!
Hughes getting thrown about like a rag doll 😂
Keep up the amazing work mate! Love to see this clean rugby content
Needs the hit that Duane Vermeulen made on James Slipper.
Josh Lewsey cutting Rogers in half?
Excellent work again....you make great edits👍🏻👍🏻

#2 is one of those tackles in rugby history that will probably never be forgotten!
Dupont against Ali price last year
Another cracking vid mate - thank you

ye faf lying on the ball seemed to stand out
Great great video! Tackling is such a form of art when performed this way… forget about the red cards controversies, this is pure skill!
Great compilation of textbook tackles 💪 always prefer those over "big hits"❤🏉
Amazing video, hope part 2 is in the works
For the next compilation I would include Phil Vickery on Olivier Magne, plus George North/Richard Hibbard in the same passage of play against Australia in 2013.
Only one Jonny Wilkinson tackle?
great compilation
Nathan Hughes got killed in this video 😂
Great compilation. The next one needs a Josh Lewsey try saver in the corner though.
ROG somehow stopping chabal 2006 Munster vs sale at thomond should be there
Chabal could be in here, hope for pt 2 !
Outstanding compilation on the art of the tackle. Timing and technique 👌 👏. How about a compilation of scores straight from restarts?

Never pull the handbrake when you run the ball 😂😂
Need to get a few Fekitoa hits for part 2!
@3:10 hospital pass
3:40 Michele Lamaro on Brandon Ennor, great hit
Great video.
John Kirwan classic winger's cover tackle v Wales in the '87 world cup is a must!

@@AndrewDavidForde well of course... you make perfect sense!
Please make a video on best running lines - Dombrant and Malins have ran some crackers recently
Any tackle against lomu should be considered a momentum killing tackle
I wish George North on Kurtney Beale, or, sorry, the other way round, could fit into this selection
The things you love to see and hate to be!
Jason White had some good ones
Who’s the blond harlequin player on the George north hit clip?
Matt Hopper
it takes a hell of a lot to make jonah lomu go backwards
There is only 1 Law on the pitch of battle and that is definitely Courtney’s.
5:25... jesus!
Chief vs Andy Robinson?
Nathan Hughes destroyed by tiny men

3:34 is surely illegal play by williams
The women's rugby clips look shockingly bad compared to the men's games.
