7:30 Wow, In the middle of a bustling 200k-city, and you hear birds chirping and a few people chatting and laughing. Well done Groningen, and well captured Thomas.
The Martini cemetery. I sometimes sit here and read a book when I don't feel like sitting on my own roof garden. Here too I see many birds and in the evening (summer) bats come to eat the insects above my roof garden. A nice sight from my bedroom. I live about 70 meters from the Martini cemetery.
Thank you for reminding me of Groningen. I love this city wholeheartly, i've been there studying global health in 2019. I love the people, the food, the museum. I've friends and teachers there. I wish to return to this place as soon as possible. I can't explainmy love for Groningen just by word
is it that hard to find a house there?
Groningen awaits me this year late August for my uni studies. Thank you so much for this

Aardig rondje binnen de diepenring. Maar ik mis bijvoorbeeld het Groninger Museum en de statige singels daaromheen.

Well Came To Groningen city center of Netherland
Can you do another one in Groningen? Specifically more around the station? I miss it so much 🤩
Still don't know how you get such great colors. Great video! If you ever sell your LUTs I will be the first one to buy them :)
I'm just playing around a bit with the color sliders 😄
@@wanderingthomas 😂 but when I do the same it turns into a mess. By the way are you using „Tilt Lock“ and walk holding it like a flash light or just „follow“ mode and holding it upwards/standing?
@@JapanPotato I'm Using Tilt mode. It's more pleasing to watch than follow in my opinion.
Follow makes a lot of small direct corrections. Holding the camera normal vertically :)
👍👍👍👍
you make nice video
it was 13 years ago when I first arrive the city as a freshman of the university
Like!
Love this place can I be your friend so I can be visiting
Have been here like twice love it so much
My son just arrived to study one semester at Groningen University. I hope he enjoys this city. Miguel from Brazil. Any tip to him ? August 22, 2021.
Be in close contact with your teachers, most of them are very willing to answer questions via email or accept a quick half-hour appointment. Just to know you are in the right direction. The city itself is quite compact, so if at all possible, make friends, make a network, it might help him in his career. I wish him all the best!!!
Broerstraat with univerity building ..
would be nice if you added the time when filming this to know if its morning or evening... :) very nice videos btw
Pretty sure it's morning to noon
One question, i noticed people looking at you/your camera, why?
because filming or taking photos makes people either curious, or anxious. especially if you're using more professional like gear
Groningen city center trade side street or shop many peoples by bike for bring items stuff need everyday althout is town very waderful a lorge but comfertable
👀🥰😊
8:00 what exact place it is in Groningen ? can someone tell me please
It's originally a church yard i suppose you might describe it, Martini Kerkhof and now it's a little park
Google Maps:
www.google.com/maps/place/Martinikerkhof/@53.2200076,6.5683444,199m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x47c9cd50ac13738f:0x6139a9b9b8b791dd!8m2!3d53.2201427!4d6.5690755
Well it’s more the middle of the city Groningen
That's what's called the Martinikerkhof, in the late medieval times it was a cemetary, but now it's one of the most silent places in an otherwise busy town. The building with the dark-green/white window closers is the provincial governmental building. It really is an amazing place to be!
What will people say of this in the year 2200?
Thomas, thank you for a great walk througt the city that has become my favorite and wich l dream of returning to!
Thank you Thomas!
