I miss my flat floored '62 E-type Roadster and my '63 Coupe so much. I paid $800 for the Roadster and $3500 for the coupe in the 70s. I sold the Coupe when I got married and the Roadster was in parts when I sold the parts just to get them out of my mom's garage. My biggest mistake! At 69 yrs old, all I can afford is a Miata unless someone has pity ans gifts me one (Ha Ha!) . The Miata is fun but it's not an E-type. What a thrill to be in an E-type with the speedometer buried at 150 MPH. It a wonder I am still alive.
Porsche had the brains to continue the 911 until today, too bad Jaguar didn't have the same brains to continue the E-type. Biggest mistake it made was discontinuing their flagship car.
The stand car was sold to a Swiss gentleman and registered there. It's still in Switzerland and part of a private collection. Not sure what its local reg no is as when its seen in public, its always wearing display plates.
Doesn't get much better than this !
